Crossings Roadhouse — Restaurant in Lambton Shores

Awful food and service. Absolutely would not repeat or recommend.

Service: -Server was trying to take our drink orders before our table had even fully sat down or had a chance to look at the menu. Asked if they had margaritas and the server said drink menu is on the back of the menu which I hadn't even had a chance to look at yet. I checked and yes, they had margaritas. Forgot my friends drink completely. Dad ordered soup and it didn't come with the other apps so we assumed it was coming with dinner. When dinner arrived there was no soup just fries. We mentioned that he had ordered the soup and not the fries and the waitress just looked at him and looked at his plate and said all I got was you wanted coleslaw which is on its way... Looks at the plate again and then looks back up to my Dad and says "so you still want that soup then?". Not wanting to annoy the server any more than she already was he told her he would just eat the fries. Server would come to the table and ask how everything was/if we wanted dessert but walked away both times before she had the chance to hear our answers. Someone did in fact want dessert but we were just served the bill instead. Nice!

Food: not everyone got what they wanted one burger ordered was black and SO dry - the other was good apparently. informed that choice or potato meant fries or broiled. No mashed or baked on a Saturday night even though it was a listed potato option mixed vegetables were raw and barely warm (also had asked the server while ordering what the veggie of the day was and she just told me she didn't know and that she hadn't served any today yet?) chicken fajita was made with microwavable chicken bits - cold and rubbery - couldn't even eat half of the fajita -I will give it to them that their bread and fries are amazing!

Don't waste your patience...

Called (3 hours) ahead to see if they could accommodate our party of six on the patio (with a dog, who we were unable to leave at home on this occasion) and were told that yes, they could seat us on the lower patio near the edge so our dog could sit just outside (but nearby). They took down my info for the reservation. Arrived at 7 and were offered a table in another area and told the dog was not welcome. I know that not all patios are pet friendly and this is why I called ahead. If you would have told me sorry, we can't accommodate this request I would have accepted that, maybe don't promise things you can't fulfill. We left and went elsewhere and won't be back.

Edit: To be clear, the manager did offer another table, but it was nowhere near the edge of the patio. We at no point expected laws to be broken to satisfy us, but when you commit to make a specific accomodation (e.g. a table on the edge of the lower patio), maybe next time hold that table, or just don't make committments you can't or won't keep. "Sorry, we are busy this evening and can't make that happen" would have been totally acceptable...

Waited a while to be seated. Then server brought us each a glass of water and menus. When she came back to take our orders she did not ask if we would like anything else to drink. We then waited a good 40 mins to get our meals ( no GF options) I would also like to mention there was only 3 other tables with customers at them and three servers working. Again in all that time we were not asked if we would like anything else to drink. The food finally came and It was good. After, she walked pasted and said she would grab to more waters and never returned with them. Then as soon as we finished she appeared at our table with the bill. By this point I was very upset and I told my husband he was absolutely not leaving a tip. We are usually very good tippers as I myself am a server but I honestly have never been treated like this anywhere in my life. So unfortunately we will not be returning or ever be recommending...
