Well let's see, the waitress had the personality of a wet mop. Not friendly or happy, or even in a good mood. Asking her questions was like pulling teeth, and she was visibly annoyed that we asked them, especially when we asked more than 1. She kept trying to walk away after answering what the choices of potato were, we got the sigh, and the eye roll, and the "Ya, it is, anything else" exhale.
But one needed to ask questions as she most certainly wasn't about to tell us the specials of the day, even after we told her we've never been here before.
We got no recommendations, no friendly banter as she promotes the restaurant, just are you ready yet, 2 mins after sitting down and every 2 min afterwards. We were the only people in the restaurant, why are we being rushed??
Things didn't get better with our food, my fries were so over cooked that they were actually empty inside, she never included the gravy that I know she charged me extra for, and the fish was so dry, I actually couldn't swallow it, without taking a sip of my beverage.
My daughter poached eggs didnt go well either, 1st two were okay, but the 3rd was just full of vinegar. I don't even know how that happens...
Once I sent my fries back, and asked for the gravy I ordered, we no longer had a waitress.
Except when she dropped off my new fries at the table, which I would have told her about the dry fish at that time, but she split from the table so fast, I had no chance.
The worst part of everything was at the end of the meal, when she finally was willing to come back to my table, close to 30 min later. I explained how nothing was to my satisfaction, and all she had to say was, "Ah, thats to bad" and then placed the check on the table and walked away...
I have never had service like this before in my life. I have worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years, in everything from a Cafe, to the high end 4 month waiting list where staff were professionally trained.
It's one thing to have terrible food served to you, we've all experienced that, but this waitress she just made this an experience that went from bad, to terrible - horrible, I might need to call for an emergency appointment with my therapist...
Read moreBasically had to pay for food that I could not and would not eat .It was so disgusting you could not even pick up with you hand and eat it .a simple dish made wrong on a hamburger bun instead of a sub bun .it was completely mush soaking wet sitting a pool of sauce. Never even had one bite out it .waitress never ounce even came over to check on us .there was one table leaving and only 2 other people walked in so she wasn't busy. I wouldn't have even given one star review but there I'd no option for zero stars. SO WAS BASICALLY TOLD ITS A ME PROBLEM AND I HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR SOMETHING I COULDN'T EAT DEFINITELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD WILL NOT BE SUPPORTIVE OF LOCAL RESTAURANTS UNTIL THEY CAN LEARN HOW TO OPERATE THEM .AND BY THE WAY I WAS A REGULAR CUSTOMER. THIS PLACE WILL BE OUT OF OPERATION SOON ENOUGH WITH WORK ETHICS LIKE THIS.And here we are 10 months later still not one Apology or any kind of acknowledgement of thier poor services...
Read moreTo be fair we didn't get to try the food so I can't give a review on it. My friend and I were visiting from Ontario and wanted to quickly pop in for a coffee break, rather than going to a fast food chain, we always prefer to support the local businesses. The cafe attendant was very nice and friendly, She was apologetic and sincerely sorry that we couldn't order from the children's menu, which is understandable since we are just 2 adults, but I was really craving a hot dog that was only available in the kids menu. Most places have a disclaimer* children's menu for children under 12 only* in this case there were no signs so we figured we could order that. There were 2 more people there at lunch time, the restaurant was clean, decor was very simplistic and plain but I'd give the server (sorry I didn't get her name) a 5...
