Food here was amazing, staff were jerks. When we first walked in they asked us to sanitize our hands. No problem, that’s normal these days. After we finished sanitizing our hands a staff member who had not been in the room when we arrived approached us and started screaming at us to sanitize our hands and accused us of having not done it when we first entered the shop. The staff who had seen us sanitize our hands did not speak up in our defence, they just stood there and let us get screamed at. When it was time for us to pay, the lady who had screamed at us took our payment and she continued to treat us horribly, claiming that she could not understand our French or our English. I had given up on decent lobster rolls in New Brunswick but then we found La Cantine. Two days in a row! Sublime and delicious!! And the staff could not have been more friendly or more welcoming. They laughed and shouted a big hello when they recognized us on our second visit and even gave us their recipe. Nicely tucked away from the busy roads but so very worth finding....
Read moreDon't know if we just hit a bad batch but would not recommend the lobster roll or the lobster poutine. Lobster was not seasoned and had water retention like badly frozen lobster. The only real flavor to the roll was the green onion. Poutine was was an ordinary brown sauce. I've eaten and cooked a lot of lobster in my time and this was definitely far from the best.
