Bistro Henri — Restaurant in Les Bergeronnes

The food was very good for the area, but the service was very disorganized and slow.

Me and my partner waited a bit to be greeted by our server. The poor couple next to us waited even longer! Our server apologized for the delay, which I thought was very attentive, but we hardly see her for the rest of the meal.

We each order the arancini starter. A different server comes and asks “who is having the dumplings?” We say we are each having the arancini. The runner brings out one plate and puts it in front of my partner without a word. We have to flag a waitress down to get our order sorted for the third time.

We both get our apps, but inside of my arancini is still somewhat cold, but otherwise very tasty and an hour into the meal it would be nice to start eating so I don’t send it back.

The runner bring us our main dishes but not silverware to eat it with. Also she forgot the fries the first time around. After waiting a bit we take silverware from the empty table next to us so we can start eating while the food is still warm.

Almost two and a half hours later the bill comes and they charge us for two dumplings we definitely didn’t order and only one arancini. We clarify our appetizer order for the fourth time.

Nice little place and very busy. We were greeted at the door by someone that could only speak French but we were quickly greeted again by someone that could speak English. We were taken to our table and placed our order. We waited over 1/2 hr. for our dinner. People that came in after us were served before us. My granddaughter spilled her drink. Beautiful ambience, nice decor and friendly and knowledgeable service. Our server was very helpful when selecting our dishes. My partner and I had the scallops and breaded fish.
