Rockway Vineyards — Restaurant in Lincoln

Terrible service!!! Recently we decided to have lunch and try Rockway Vineyards Patio as it was a nice day and we thought to enjoy a meal on the patio. What a mistake!! We arrived and entered the foyer and were greeted by the hostess. She promptly directed us to the patio and told us to sit wherever we liked and we would be attended to shortly. We chose a nice seat toward the middle of the patio with an expansive view of the golf course. I would estimate that there were probably half a dozen tables full with 2 servers tending to the guests. We sat down and waited for about 10 minutes and saw the servers serving other guests and not even coming over to greet us to at least acknowledge our presence. After another 5 minutes passed we decided to give the servers 5 more minutes to be greeted or acknowledged and then we would leave. Wow, a whole 20 minutes went by with no greeting from a server, hello, or offering a glass of water or menu. How disgraceful and unprofessional is that? The 2 servers did not appear overly busy or stressed, just inattentive to a couple of new guests who thought to try this establishment for the first time. I must say I am extremely disappointed and wonder how this business stays in business. I must add, we did find another establishment close by and were treated promptly and professionally enjoying a great meal. Too bad it was not at...

We came for the Ice Wine festival in 2022 and it was an amazing experience! Possibly because it was a Friday only 15 minutes after they opened, but everything was super smooth, everyone was amazingly helpful and the food and wine simply divine. We also booked a firepit ahead of time and ordered a meat platter (comes with everything in the picture plus some wine which we took inside at their tasting bar) which was cozy and delicious!

Their winter menu was also quite intriguing and we came back on the Sunday for lunch, unfortunately due to the high winds that day, it knocked the power out right as we were about to order. Kind of bummed but not their fault at all. They gave us a voucher for a tasting experience the next time we visit, which was so nice of them! Hopefully the bison burger is still on the menu the next time we make the trip here, because we'll definitely be back.

There was a group of 26 of us that went here. Others in the group have come to this Winery before and were even considering having a wedding reception here. We were supposed to have a choice of a Pasta Dish or Chicken. After sitting there for approximately 20 minutes they brought us out all chicken dishes, which was good mind you but there was supposed to be a choice. We had to ask them for water which we got half way through the meal. This is a winery - no one asked us if we would like to have a glass of wine with our meal, we all would have wanted something. It took forever to serve Coffee and so one of the others at our table went to another table and brought a coffee over that someone wouldn't drink. I told Leslie (who said she worked in the wine store) that we were not asked if we wanted a glass of wine with our meal and told her that I probably won't buy anything at the store, she replied with a cocky "That's fine!"
