McDonald's — Restaurant in Lucan Biddulph

I actually looked up the McDonald's to call and complain because the order was wrong and we had spent quite a bit. Then after reading the other reviews I thought I'd leave my two cents. I really enjoy this McDonald's. I come in now and then to do my writing. They are always always friendly. I am always met with smiles, I am offered to be served at my table so I can sit while I wait, they are the nicest workers I have ever met at McDonald's. Even tonight, as I called to complain (which normally I don't but we spent a bit and were missing some things). I was met by the nicest person on the phone. She completely understood the situation, took own the information she needed, and then she offered a solution. Some are saying this is the worst McDonald's ever? Absolutely not. There are areas to improve but this is far far from the worst. I appreciate and value the positive attitude, the kind hearted workers, and the fact that they are working their hardest way more than having everything perfect 100% of the time. Mistakes happen, the fact that they rectify it while remaining kind and in good spirits, while using their brain and being smart about it, is something other fast food places could learn from. This is an odd restaurant from Mc D. It’s new in a small town. But missed the point completely somehow. Quality and service are of deep concern here. The worst part is the dining room/counter area. There is no staff visible, when they’re all in the kitchen. That makes the room „cold“ and, funny enough, feels empty and abandoned, even a bit unsafe. The impression is that the drive-thru is their main business and they care much less about the dining room. Most of the day the dining room seems empty. Staff is trying their best. The interaction with them is incredibly short, they pop out of the kitchen with the tray, call the number, put it down and disappear in the kitchen again. I have the impression they’re very understaffed. Staff feels stressed, is the impression. The chance of cold fries is high. Had that on a few occasions now. As the staff disappears immediately, I had to walk into the kitchen to get attention. Got promptly served with a fresh fries and all the apologies, but why serve them cold in the first place with such a long line in the drive-thru. No drink fountain in the store. It seems no refills? They seriously need to up their business. Not a fine place to be. Not for a small town at all. Not a happy kid place. Drive-thru...

If I could give below 0 I would. If the executive/sponsor management does not change the way this McDonald’s work, they’d have to shut down soon before it makes it to full year! I do not have a problem with teenagers operating this establishment but they are actually bringing it way down. I have visited this branch 4-5 times different times and it’s never clean! One time we came at 9:30am and ALL THE TABLES were dirty with dried old fries scattered, dried ketchup stains on table from probably previous night service or maybe before that. They have managed to mess up the order every SINGLE TIME! People wait 20mnts and still get their orders wrong not just me. Staff is no where to be seen, if they are out they are chit chatting with their other friends who hang around the lobby. I had to wait to talk to someone because they were busy talking about their plans infront of me with their visiting friends. Few adult managers HAVE TO take charge or it’s going down. And it should be obvious that we are definitely not coming here. Lucan community is mostly adult and good families and they do not deserve...
