Honestly this is one of the worst places I've ever eaten and one place actually served me frozen raw chicken so... I went here with my mother while we were out working in the area. We can only say the experience was horrid. We waited about 25 min to have the waitress take our order - there was 3 other customers tgat already had there food. Done other people that were regulars came in about 10 min after us and she took their order first and then chatted for a while and left and was going around doing God knows what and chatting. We were about to leave when she came. We ordered. My mother had some chicken sandwich thing that was smothered in a lumpy yellow liquid we assume was gravy, she felt it was passable but not good at all, though exorbitantly priced. I had a Caesar salad and cheese garlic bread. Salad was wilty and warm and very meh. Garlic toast was a microwaved piece of that garlic bread you buy in the bags with only very slightly melted sliced cheddar on it (15 seconds in the microwave I'm guessing). It took a further 35 minutes for us to get this food tgat was all ambient temperature. I couldn't really eat mine as the "toast was so repellent. She asked if it was alright we said it was kinda gross and she asked if we wanted it fixed which I said is impossible and also that we didnt have another hour for their cook to try to microwave anything else. Bill took another 10 minutes. The lunch was over $50 without tip. For a lunch at a diner that if it had been good was worth $30. We did not tip because the service was unbelievably bad as was the food. They complained that we didn't tip. We gave them a dirty look and walked out. I only finally reviewed this nightmare plsce because it popped up in my google notifications asking for a review. Don't go to this place unless you want nuked, ambient temperature food that is probably scraped out of a hungry man frozen dinner tray and onto a plate that takes over an hour to get and that you pay $27...
Read moreFirst time eating here and i have to say its the worst experience I've had in a long time. We walked in for lunch maybe 12 -14 dinners, took 10min or so to be sat as we were told to pick any so table so we did. No umbrellas offered considering we have young kids. 20 plus min later a server showed up apologizing they forgot about our table. Fine we get it, its covid everyone just getting back on there feet. Ordered our food took another 20min. Soup came out with a spoon thats not fit for use, soup luke warm. Asked for a replacement, instead of getting a replacement the server entertaining another table. Our food arrived another 20min later a burger and steak with zero seasoning what so ever, luke warm and the side salad with some rotten mixed greens. We did not complain working in the industry i get it there will be one of those off service. I asked for an hp sauce server brings it over, i was about to use it and it was empty..... called the server again got it replaced only took another 10min because she was entertaining another table.... there was a garlic bread under the steak which was barely edible.... we made most out of whats edible ask for water before the bill server comes back with the bill no water.... unbelievable! I figured maybe they were under staffed walked inside to pay for our meal saw 5 front of the house staff just doing cutlery rolls rather than taking care of us guest... missed heard of payment type, i heard cash i mentioned i will be paying with VISA, gave me this negative tone which made me feel uncomfortable. For $75 lunch all in i feel i could have got a better service and food elsewhere. based on the reviews I've read here in google this place is a gem but little did i know its generally a low end dive with poor food quality & service. We will never be back and will also report concerns with food handling to the local health authorities hopefully this place gets...
Read moreDisappointing Experience Due to Owner’s Behavior
My friends and I stopped by this restaurant on our way to the next town. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the behavior of the owner. While he appeared friendly to customers, we couldn’t help but notice how disrespectfully he treated his kitchen staff particularly a cook we observed wearing glasses. His tone and body language were aggressive and demeaning, and this happened multiple times during our visit.
It left a bad impression on all of us. As someone whose parents immigrated to Canada and worked incredibly hard to build a life here, it’s upsetting to see employees being treated without dignity or respect. It goes against the values of fairness and decency that many of us hold dear.
While the food was decent, the negative energy created by the owner’s treatment of his staff made us uncomfortable. A restaurant is not just about the food it's also about how people are treated behind the scenes. We believe in supporting businesses that respect and value their team, and sadly, this place didn’t reflect that.
We will not be returning, and we hope others consider how important it is to support workplaces with a positive and respectful environment.
I would like to send the labour ministry to this address and the health department to investigate how the employees are being treated here. I am sure they are breaking a lot of laws back in that kitchen setting and how they operate their business. My Buddy works for that office and I am happy to suggest this...
