Magnetawan Grill And Grocery — Restaurant in Magnetawan

My husband and I have been coming here for years as our summers are spent in Magnetewan. Our favorite meal has always been their breakfast. Very surprised with our most recent breakfast during our first visit to the Grill this year. My husband always orders the rye bread. So surprising when his meal came with only one slice of bread. I have never seen this in any of the restaurants we have had breakfast in. I ordered brown and did get the usual two slices. When we asked our server why my husband only got one slice we were told the new owner feels the rye is more expensive and therefore only one slice allowed now. Unless slice is very small , then you get two. Or you can pay extra for another slice. Are you kidding me! The new owner needs to worry more about keeping his loyal customers happy and not nickel and dime them. We were really left us with a bad feeling. If a restuarant cheaps out on one slice of toast what else are they cheaping out on. Food quality? Cleanliness? Here's hoping reviews are read and...

I have never experienced WORSE service in my life! Firstly we come in, standing at the bar after letting The lady know that we are waiting for a Reservation for five minutes. Then the girl at the bar goes can I help you? Lol.

Cajun pasta She was a literally a butter sauce with spice meanwhile I confirmed what the sauce was with a waiter and he said it was a cream sauce similar to alfredo.

They never came to top up the water. Im paging the call button on the table for over 25 minutes Preston six times nobody came. From the time we finished eating, we were waiting 20 minutes for someone to come and bring and take containers. I had to go up to the bar, my server was chatting to people and did not even acknowledge me. Then a female asked if she could help me, and I explained she did not even apologize…

Terrible service! 2 people for a Birthday Dinner on a Thursday at 6pm and more than half the restaurant was empty! We sat for 20 minutes before anyone came to our table to take a dinner order and only came when we went to the bar to ask for help. We then waited another hour and still no food! Our waitress came over and told us it would be another 10 minutes so we decided to leave. The waitress apologized but I think she may be new at waitressing and was trying her best! When we were leaving the male waiter (who had nothing to do with us) was very mouthy! He was lucky I didn’t tell him what I was really thinking! 🙂 we have been to this restaurant several times over the years and the food is good and so was the service!
