Stagehead Restaurant and Lounge — Restaurant in Marystown

Came here every other day pretty much all summer. Few things I noticed. Food quality is always too notch but the portion sizes are dependant on who makes it. Like the chicken Ceasars wrap. Some days it was as big as my forearm, other days it was the size of a snack wrap from mcdonalds, half wrapped, half the lettuce and chicken out side the wrap, wrap ripped in half rather than cut. Also the fish, really good quality but everytime I get it, its always like a soaking wet roll of paper towels. Maybe thats because I do pick up so it sits in a box and steams itself. I haven't been here in a few weeks now though. The last 3 chicken Ceasars wraps i had were really messy and so diff in portion size each time I just decided to stop coming here. Awesome food. Awesome staff but the overall experience is dependent on the person who cooks it and prepars it. The older lady who works here makes the best food hands down. Never ever had an issue when she made my meal and I know she made my meal because I could see her making it and preparing it and than bringing...

We enjoyed dinner at this Marystown restaurant while visiting the Burin Peninsula during our trip to Newfoundland. This is not a "fancy" restaurant, but we enjoyed the simplicity and comfortable environment in addition to the Newfoundland food. The service was particularly noteworthy. The staff was very friendly and the person who appeared to be the owner or manager spent several minutes talking to us about the area and things we should see while in the area. The friendliness stood out even in a Canadian province that we found lived up to its reputation for friendly people. The prices were very reasonable as well. The food was 10/10, nobody left hungry! I’ve got picky kids and they are still talking about when we will go back again.. sorry kids we’re from Alberta but we’re looking forward to returning...
