Not sure how people give this such good reviews, are they high? $30 for two tiny pieces of Halibut, batter too thick and burned. Tasteless tiny tub of slaw. Chips were good, that's the 2 stars. Absolute rip off. Avoid. Drive to Port and go to Buck snort. or Axe and Anchor. Edit. A classic response from an owner/cook? Who can't critique their own product. When I make something, I'm always the worst critic. You're lazy and you produce garbage and the only reason you're in business is because you're less lazy than the locals who don't get out of bed so you have no competition. There was a long line up and I had to get back to work, I wasn't on tourist or island time. I don't have time to do your quality control for you.

Ordered fish and chips and was throughly impressed. The halibut was delicious and a nice portion of solid meat deliciously flavored and fried. The fries were crispy and salty but not overly salted which made them a great addition to the crisp fish. Really great meal that came with a tasty dip (which paired perfectly with the halibut) and some coleslaw. Absolutely 10/10 meal produced quickly by the friendly staff.

A local gem! Our smash burgers, fries and onion rings hit all the yummy spots for us! Fast and friendly service located by the water. Bathrooms were clean and we loved the little bouquets of fresh flowers on each table. The table next to us ordered the pizza and said they loved it. Highly recommended!

A must try in Haida Gwaii! If you’re in Haida Gwaii and craving something fresh, flavourful and made with real care, you need to track down the 626 fish and chipper! The moment you walk up, you’re greeted with that unmistakable island warmth - friendly smiles and the smell of amazing food! The dishes are built around locally sourced ingredients. We absolutely loved the halibut tacos. Of course we had to go back and try the smash burgers! Holy smokes….the best burger I’ve ever had! What really makes this food truck special is the atmosphere. You will be eating at a picnic table by the harbour with the sound of eagles surrounding you. We definitely will be returning. Kudos to the owner and fabulous staff. Their kindness was so...

The fish and chips are incredible every time, fries are a hit or miss, guess it depends on their supply. The two younger people normally taking orders are efficient and friendly. Today we stopped by after a great morning on the beach and there was a woman in her 40s/50s who stared at us the entire time unsmiling even as we stepped up to order. No hello, or what can I get you, etc, you know, baseline normal human behavior. We just left and got a meal elsewhere for the four of us. After working in food service for many years, this was just a nah for us. We’ll visit again when the other two are here. The prices are good and there’s pizza, milkshakes, and ice cream...
