Benny&Co. — Restaurant in Mercier

It's sad to see that over the past couple of months, there are more negative reviews than positive. I order here all the time because we live in the area and my husband cannot eat at many places because he has celiac. Here are the issues we've been noticing lately. 1- I always have to call to place an order to confirm that I want rice, not fries AND no bread (I ordered online once and did manage to find a section to write comments and they still provided the bread found on the chicken. My husband is celiac; he cannot eat the bread! When I called to complain, the manager wasn't empathetic whatsoever and admitted they don't look at the comments section. It's such a waste of time calling in because it takes longer than ordering online, but since they don't read their comments, I have no choice) 2- When I call, the girls on the phone are sometimes rude. Naturally the staff rotates, and I get you can be short staffed, but there is no need to be rude. I am not rude with you! 3- When I call to complain because of a mistake, sometimes they tell me the manager cannot speak to me because they are too busy and will call me back the next day. They don't call back the next day... this has happened more than once. 4- Constant mistakes - always forget to switch the fries to rice (although this past month they have gotten better because they added a note in my file because I constantly called to complain). Either way, I ordered a salad last night with ranch, but I got balsamic vinegar instead when it is clearly indicated on the bill the right order.

When they first opened, they were on the ball! The food is good, and since we don't have many options in the area, we will continue to order here for now, but the service has definitely gotten worse and people should be aware that they will most likely get it wrong than right.

Final comment about Benny&Co in general: it sucks that the fries are cooked WITH other gluten items. Don't advertise that they are gluten free on your website FAQ section when they are not. It's false advertising. I contacted head office about it already, and they gave me some lame excuse that they can't add a spare fryer in the kitchen. Benny&Co needs to get with the times - McDonalds can do it; Gregoires down the street can do it;...

this is the 2nd time I ordered there and the Delivery is was late again. Really good chicken and Ribs that why I left 2 stars. The first time I ordered it was 30 min late I could live with that hence the reason I ordered again. The second time I ordered this past Saturday it came 1 hour and a half LATE which is not acceptable. I called after and hour to ask where it was and the person told me its on the way she said give or take 5 to 10 min max. 20 min later it was here. That being said food was good but not worth the wait. Order from St Hubert or Coc O Bec where they at least...

Not bad. It was something new to try. Need to eat there a couple more times, and explore the menu more etc. - Then I will be able to give a more truly accurate and honest review. - Until then; I will Rate ya 4 Stars! - and Revise if wver necessary.
