I wanted to go to Chloe’s Diner to have my rest stop meal when I was traveling to Shuswap. I was glad I stopped by there because my experience dining at the restaurant was excellent.

When I got there, it was not too busy, so I got a table right away. I ordered the Shakshuka with coffee from their lunch & dinner part of the menu. The coffee was good, and I found myself finishing my first serving of it. Shakshuka was a fantastic meal. It was very flavourful with all the ingredients complimenting each other, including the poached eggs. The tomato flavour was not too strong or too weak in the entrée. The rye bread that came with it was great. In fact, it was probably the best rye I have ever had from a restaurant.

The restaurant’s interior was very wholesome-looking with some provocative portrait painting all over the establishment. The service really great and they tend my table very often.

A vegetarian bowl with delicious roast mushrooms, a thick chunk of fried tomato, fresh slices of avocado, dark greens, all tossed with a delicate dressing and these crunchy, aromatic, beautiful seeds called dukka. One of the sides was almost the main attractions it was so interesting and delicious: a serving of subtly sweet homemade baked beans covering a dollop of super creamy hummus.
