Seashore Restaurant & Blue Rock Lounge — Restaurant in Meteghan Centre

5:50pm (supper time) on a Monday. NOTE the other good fish n chips place is closed on a Monday, so these folks are the only ones open in the area.

Came in from a full 3-4 hr drive for some takeaway fish n chips. Asked the lady at the bar if they do take out. She said yes and we stood at the bar looking at the menu. 1 min later we were ready to order and stood at the bar, menu closed and debit cards in hand. Waited another 10 mins while the same woman at the bar who greeted us as we arrived did various tasks like refilling water jugs and making coffee. Eventually takes our order, 2 meals over $48.00. We’re told 6-10 mins. 35 mins later our food is given in large paper bags. No ketchup, no vinegar, no tartar sauce, no cutlery.

Drove 5 mins down the road to the cottage we were at and were super disappointed in our meals. Soft rubbery frozen shoestring fries, soggy breaded fish.

Corrine Leblanc was amazing, very glad she recommended the mozza sticks because they were legendary.

Otherwise we literally drove the extra 90 minutes from our hotel due to the picture of the lobster club in their listing, which was everything I dreamed it would be. Perfectly crafted and flavourful, well worth the extra trip. Not to mention the lobster poutine my fiance had, which was also perfect and bursting with wonderful flavours.

If I lived in NS I'd die real young with all this super tasty food around, as it is I've been here a week and tried the majority of the local places, and Seashore definitely ranks near the top...

The Seashore has the best mozzarella sticks in town.. truly amazing. However the hot hamburger was very surprising... usually a hot hamburger is made with minced ground beef and the one my mother recieved was an overcooked burger patty on bread with gravy on top. It wasn't an actual hot hamburger sandwich, more like a burger loaded with gravy. She was pretty disappointed as she expected to recieve a hot hamburger (her favorite meal).. Maybe this is something they can look into, or share details that the hot hamburger they serve is made differently from a classic hot hamburger sandwich to save people from not receiving...
