The food at Kate's is terrific. We have been there a number of times and have not been disappointed yet.
The Mac and Cheese last Monday was really good and full of flavour. The Monday before that we had a burger and a bowl of chili. The chili was so good...if they ever offer a chili/cheese dog, then I am in!
During the summer we had dinner for 8 of us and everyone was very happy with their food.
All this and a friendly staff...why wouldn't you stop in for a meal!

I didn't expect the fries to be this much, the large fries 🍟 can easily fill 3 people up. The ice cream was great. They have customer parking if you're on a boat. They were very nice, the fries was not oily, tasted very good. Their food is fresh and delicious and it's cooked in front of you which is great. Overall, this is a great place, prices are very close to the city prices; no surprises there, the only surprise was the size of fries which I am not complainig. If you're here for a few days you can get most of your food from here without getting bored and you'd crave the food...

Went here on a bit of a whim on the way up to Algonquin, based off the great reviews and it was absolutely amazing, the burger was freshly made, cooked perfectly and served with generous toppings, the butter tarts were great as well.
The service from Tanya was brilliant, she was wonderful and chatty while serving us and having a chat with us while we were eating, and the view over the lakeside, especially when it was frozen in early April was a memory I will remember for...
