Pepper Mill Steak & Pasta House — Restaurant in Minden Hills

Tonight I had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic restaurant. In all seriousness we came to this restaurant with good reviews and expected good service like the reviews propose. Unfortunately we were not met with this criteria. We had to wait 45 minutes to even get into the restaurant. Keep in mind this was the wait for the PATIO and not the actual in door facility. When we sat down we were finally ready to feast with the great food that the reviews had described. We were sadly disappointed by the wait for the food. The wait was over an hour and half for just the appetizers alone. I was extremely excited for what had taken an hour and a half to prepare. Sadly this food was average if not below average. I could easily make this and I rarely ever cook. After this I was just looking forward to the main course seeing as though the good reviews were mostly about the main course. One of my peers ordered a beef tenderloin medallions. She was extremely disappointed due to the fact that it had taken another hour to prepare and had tasted like a dry burger patty. I was also disappointed in the fact that the bassed boneless chicken that I had ordered also took an hour and didn’t even taste like chicken. The side of fries that I ordered was also dry and didn’t come with sauces to go with the fries. The Seafood Alfredo that my peer had ordered contained a total of 3 shrimp and 3 scallops. However they were not shy with dumping their entire supply of mushrooms. The sauce was also below average. A grocery store has better seafood Alfredo in the frozen food section. However my peer was extremely thankful for the clump of Parmesan that was needed to be spread with a knife and fork. We had the delight of eating our food in the dark and cold seeing as though they have no lighting outdoors.We made friends with all of the bugs as we had to use our flashlight to see what we were eating. On the contrast they made fantastic salads. Although we were eating in pure silence seeing as though there is no music and the only sound was super load truck drivers who modified their trucks to make them as load as possible. If you want frozen veg, frozen soup overpriced steak. When nothing else is Open in The Village, this is the place for you. Long wait. I would highly recommend the Rhubarb. Fresh fresh fresh using locally grown and a far better wine selection. Priced more than reasonable for Gastronomic dining value.

One Football night, Greg Turner opened his bar for close friends only. Jim Keetch, Clint etc. After a fabulous night at the Valentine residence, 10 days earlier, immense supporters of the Peppermill, Greg Turner announced to his favorite guests. " Scott Valentine has absconded with a MillionK with some blond", leaving his wife and children behind.

I and my boyfriend are the ones who drove Mrs. Valentine, her home across Canada to be with her family while my partner was listed on Toronto Generals Transplant List.

Not very impressed with this restaurant. Went there with my family for my fiancé’s birthday . We had to wait a half hour to get in witch is fine and totally understandable with times being the way they are right now . We got seated to our table waited 15 mins for our drinks order our appetizer took a while to receive. We finally got it and by then we have order our dinners for a family of 5 . We were waiting over an hour an a half for our food they rushed my daughters so she didn’t have to wait we got to the point we had to tell them just to pack it for take out . Now it’s almost been 2 hours . We get home with the food and food I haven’t been so disappointed in a while . We got 3 orders of chicken Alfredo. And they were gross no sauce on them felt like it was noodles With butter and a bit of rubbery chicken . Didn’t even finish our meal . It went to the garbage . Minutes after both mine and my sister in laws stomachs didn’t feel So we’ll . My fiancé’s dinner was horrible he order the seafood trio . The shrimp was way over cooked the steak was supposed to be medium well it was chard over well done . $40 something dollar plate gone pretty much to waist and the potatoes? Seriously . A supposed to be high end restaurant and they serve you instant potatoes… not impressed will never return. And will be letting all my current mindeners know! I rate this definitely a 1 out of 10. Never again pretty sad the bill was very pricey what a way to ruin...
