Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Mirabel

As a trained chef and someone who works in client service, I was particularly shocked and disappointed at the service at this store.

I was waiting patiently for around 5 minute, note that I was the only person in line, and when the young man final arrived at the cash, he just stood there and did not greet me until I said “hello, how are you?”. After taking my order he just left, did not say thank you and when my food was ready just handed it to me without saying thank you or good bye or anything of that nature.

I asked to speak to the manager on duty and she did listen however she made excuses saying it’s not the norm that her staff acts that way and did not offer apologies or any way to make it right. I have managed a store of one of their competitors and if I heard about one of my employees treating customers like that, the consequences would be swift and severe. I do not mind waiting, but you should assure that the service you do provide is professional and courteous.

When I tried to order a coffee in English the person taking my order said something to another employee in French and then walked away. Then the second employee also walked away. When nobody appeared to take my order in a reasonable amount of time I let without a coffee. Also the washrooms were closed which should be illegal. You don't need to speak English to take a coffee order you only need to understand about three words. It was quite obvious that the drive-thru was the priority. The place was very dirty. All the garbages were overflowing. The employees weren't wearing gloves when handling the food and the glove box was directly on the counter. There were six employees and it took forever to be served and to receive our order.
