14th Avenue Pub & Liquor Store — Restaurant in Mission

5 star rating: Went back to the pub to watch the Canada vs El Salvatore game and what a difference. it was outstanding. the server lindy was outstanding. food was hot and delicious. everything that was wrong the last time was 100 percent this time. it was top notch and I have been in the customer service industry for 21 years and I would recommend the 14th Ave pub anytime. so it would seem on my last post it was a one time issue. i would and actually will go to this pub more often when I am in Mission. it's worth the drive. well done and thank you for such a great experience. my initial post is below;

arrived 6:55pm. sat right away been there 5 to 6 times. took 10 minutes to get our drinks and 45 minutes to get our food. did not get what we ordrered. tomato wasn't ripe, did not tell us the zucchini strips were sold out and never offered a replacement until we told them we were missing food. nachos were Terrible. very little cheese, chips and chicken. we sent it back and got more chips but still very little in the way of chicken and cheese. our food did not come together it was given over 10 minutes so it was mix and match. I was never asked if I wanted another drink. we waited over 20 minutes to pay our bill . there were very few people in the pub and especially when we went home. I and my family were greatly disappointed with the customer service and the food we ordered. the bill was over $200 and the expectation was that we should have had good food and good service. to be fair to some degree there might have been only one waitress there I don't know but that doesn't xcuse poor food and Terri le customer service. I expect better...

I went on Wednesday Dec 22nd. It was busy. The waitress was totally swamped. The bartender either couldn’t or just wouldn’t offer her help , maybe running food once in a while but for the most part this poor waitress was totally overwhelmed. Had to wait forever to order my food and when I did get it it was wrong. My 14th burger had 3 measly bits of raw onion instead of the sautéed onion it states on the menu. The only waitress working did not have time to come back and check on us until we were done. I don’t blame the server or the bartender. I BLAME THE MANAGEMENT. Who doesn’t schedule extra staff over the holidays?? When I tried to talk with the bartender and tell him it’s a joke that the waitress be left without even a busser or a manager or any other help his excuse was “Covid” like that makes it ok? Covid’s been going on for 2 years, get it together!! Whoever scheduled one waitress just days before Christmas clearly is out of touch and ill fit for the job or just clearly doesn’t care at all about customers. This poor waitress was trying her best but one person can only do so much and the bartender was useless. I’m very disappointed in my experience, seeing this poor girl run ragged was bad but also my personal experience was bad. I normally like the 14th but seeing the waitstaff so under staffed and me left waiting left a bad taste...

I went there for the world series baseball and asked them to put the game on the big screen because the place was empty and they were so rude about it, When they finally put the game on after forty five minutes of waiting , I asked if they could turn the volume on the TV ( They were playing Music on a very low level of volume, In the place was dead After i asked the bartender to Turn up the volume She was very rude to say no

After a minute or 2, the waitress came by and suggested that we connect our ear pods to the T.V to watch the game. Unfortunately, I did not bring my earpods to the sports bar to watch The Game.So I did not have them on ( Maybe I should bring my ear pods to the next sports game.Good.Idea thank you).

The food was terrible I left everything Dry ribs , fried zucchini sticks, goose!!! This was on the Tuesday night World Series game between LA.And new york

Oh , and did I mentioned it was the WOLD SEIRIES GAME 4 .. And they had golf on THE T.V SCREEN Before I walked in, and asked them to change it.

Not very neighborly ir spoty for a "neighborhood sports bar"

Needless to say , I left that establishment to watch the rest of the game at another establishment at ahad great time.!!!
