Grilling Hut — Restaurant in Mississauga

If I am asked to name one Indian Subcontinental Restaurant where people will find an honest owner, I will name this Grillin Hut. I got a several proof, let me tell you one. One night, I was driving back home from Toronto, it was close to midnight. With our one year old daughter in the car, my wife and I were too tired to cook food after going home. Thought it was close to midnight, I thought to check if they still have something left. The restaurant was about to close, however, when I told the owner that I am hungry and need some food, he went inside ktichen, put some Biriyani on a box, a few pieces of leftover kabab and some lamb curry and then asked me if it was ok. When I brought my wallet out to pay, he said it is free, he already made his profit for the day and it is nothing more than the leftover. If it meets my hunger that's his extra rewards from God! I am pretty sure, if there were other Indian subcontinental owner, they would make some more money out of it.

Now, personal story doesn't actually give you a good review about the place. Let's do that here. The place is little gloomy, plenty of space, a prayer room for the Muslims and clean washroom. They provide good quality food and in reasonable amount. Some people who work here don't understand English quite well, so make sure that they understood your order. I had to once eat and pay for what I didn't actually order. They were ready not to put this burden on my shoulder, however, I didn't want that little boy to feel ashamed for this mistake.

Their chicken biriyani combo is the best item in my point of view, however, you can try other items as well. They offer a complimentary appetizer buffet every weekend, starts after 4:30. You will get some free snacks with your dinner. Very good place overall for good quality food. I would request the owner to change the interior design so that people don't feel gloomy...

I recently had the pleasure of trying the Biryani Combo with Beef Kebab and Naan at Grilling Hut in Mississauga, and it exceeded all my expectations! The Chicken Biryani was outstanding, with perfectly cooked, fragrant basmati rice that was infused with a wonderful blend of spices. Been a regular Customer at this place. But the last experience confirms the owner no longer cares for its customers only interested in $$. Ordered a few items for pick up for a small event. Took the items home only to find out half the items that were supposed to be there were missing. I called to confirm and the agent who took the call said he confirmed with the Chef and everything was there to the point that there was no room in the tray. (Lied) See pic below for how full the tray actually was. Asked to speak w a manager so they got my info and the owner called me back making up excuses stating we changed our menu someone should have confirmed with you blah blah blah. In the end owner said he will issue me a refund. Its not what i was looking for but considering i drove 50KM to get to this place i said ok issue me a refund. Seems like the place no longer cares for any customers that have issues only looks at the customers that eat and walk away.
