Punjaabi Indian Cuisine & Sweets (Derry) — Restaurant in Mississauga

I visited this restaurant last week with my family. This place was beyond my expectation. Girl named Aman welcomed us and served us. Her communication and hospitality was top-notch. Very pleasant personality. We went very late around 11.30pm and surprisingly they were open till 2.00 am. We met with the owner named Prabhjot Singh. A great pleasing personality young man. He came to our table and explain everything which we wanted to know. Aman

Had the worst experience at this restaurant, in particular, this branch at 7235 Belshire gate.

The fact that this restaurant did not have any hoarding up, should have triggered a warning. Unfortunately my friends and I decided to give it a shot,based on an instagram food vlogger's recommendation.

We arrived at this restaurant at 8:35 pm and placed our orders. The food that came out was cold - definitely not restaurant quality. We were served cold uncooked chicken Tikka and decided to take a rain check on the remaining chicken dishes on our order, for the fear of being served raw meat. We requested to change all the orders to vegetarian and ensure that the food comes out hot to the table. However after waiting for more than an hour without any service , one of my friends made the horrendous mistake of glancing into the kitchen and noticed how unhygienic and dirty the kitchen and floor was.

We decided then and there to leave. We requested for the bill.A personnel came out ,apologized saying they were backlogged with online orders and understaffed. He refused to accept payment since their service was so poor. While I appreciate his sincerity , I would have been more appreciative if we had been informed about this on our arrival so we could make alternative plans.This was meant to be an evening out for young mothers that was completely ruined by this experience.

I do not know how this place has a license to function based on their kitchen conditions. It is very surprising to see all these positive reviews! Lastly a word to influencers promoting businesses solely for payment - could you please be more...

There are other restaurants to go to if you want to have a good meal with no stress. I’m a kind of person who takes time, gives benefit of the doubt. Firstly it was off putting that washroom is right across our table where we seated and the door was mostly open every time whenever somebody used it. No napkins or cutleries on our table. Later we had to ask for it after placing our order. Anyhow I tried to ignore that.

We waited for a good 10-15 minutes when we were approached by a waitress. We were ready with our food options when we reached there. We placed our order around 8:05-8:10. We ordered Chana Bhatura, Gobi 65, Afgani Momos, Amritsari Kulcha and Chana. The waitress said we will get chana bhatura first and rest of the order will take 20-25 minutes. We said okay as chana bhatura was for our son. After 25 minutes or so we got gobi 65 not Chana Bhatura. Anyhow we started having it, our son tried and didn’t liked it so he was waiting for his chana bhatura. After waiting for next 15 minutes more I went to ask the staff when can we expect our food as it has been more than 45 minutes. She said she’ll check and bring it right away as the food should be ready by now. Guess what.. we got chana bhatura after 1 hour! Turns out they were fulfilling online orders and catering order. It was a huge mistake selecting this restaurant for our night out. We hardly get time to have a good meal in a nice restaurant.
