Review from 2nd Aug 2025: ——————————————- The most mediocre spaghetti carbonara and service. Was so looking forward to their delicious spaghetti carbonara but unfortunately it fell short in every way to me. The pasta tonight looked and tasted (tasteless) like the one from Isola that I had a in Oct-2022 (same owner). Service was okay when we arrived, nice and friendly waitress, food took a while to arrive and we were swamped by flies (we were sat at the end corner of the restaurant outdoor), we moved indoor, my water was left at the table outside, nobody came to check in on us after, the owner did noted to the waitress to change our table number from outdoor one to the indoor one. We waited and waited for someone to clear our table and to order dessert. Alas, nobody came and I paid and left. I did inform the waitress of the meh carbonara. I used to come here just for their carbonara and was so looking forward to it, especially after giving birth. Quel dommage. Quel dommage. Review from 2023: —————————- We have lived in the island for 4 years and have dined here for the very first time this evening. They have exceeded our expectations through and through. Service was friendly and prompt. Their carbonara *CHEF KISS* (I unashamedly “cleaned” the plate 😅, it was THAT good). Le mari also enjoyed the beef linguine a lot. We’re not a fan of the fries that came with the tartare de bƓuf but their pasta was excellent. I appreciate the dual-lingual service rendered to us tonight. Beer is CAD 9/glass before tax. The fondant au chocolat was the perfect end to our date night. Already looking forward to our next visit. Hidden gem in Ile-des-Soeurs. P/S: The last call for dinner is 21:30h but the bar is open till 03:00h every Friday.

I’m fortunate enough to have been to some restaurants in different places
and I’ve got to tell you La Socca is one of my favorite places in the whole world. It’s full of light, music, people wanting good food and some dancing - Serge creates each and every night something memorable for everyone. This night in particular, on the 19th anniversary of La Socca - I had as entree the soup, my sister the salad and I chose the PavĂ© de Saumon, sauce au poivre rose (servi au lĂ©gumes de saison): I loved it. The staff is always amazing. Super kind and fast. We love the place and go every chance we get :)

A cozy little Italian restaurant in Nuns’ Island. If you only speak English, communicating with the staff might be tricky since they mostly speak French. The food was good, but I wouldn’t call it the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. Also, the cocktail menu is pretty limited, so don’t expect too many options. If you’re on the island and don’t feel like leaving just to grab a meal, it’s a decent choice!

The behavior and attitude of the restaurant manager was very ugly, rude and unprofessional, he was not able to control a large number of customers and he was very nervous and angry towards everything and he was also very violent with his employees, he was also forceful at the time of billing. And he forced us to pay him the same amount of tip that he wants and he said that this is Canada and you have no right to pay less than 15% of the tip, while I have not seen this behavior in any other bar or restaurant that the manager The restaurant should pressure the customers to pay the tip as much as he wants. In fact, the tip is optional and depends on the customer's satisfaction, and not the obligation of the bar or restaurant owner. ————————————————— Response for owner this restaurant: Hello, no, I did not go to the wrong restaurant, I always came to your restaurant and your behavior was good and friendly, that's why I suggested it to my friends, but on May 30th, when I brought some tourists to visit your place and have dinner, everything had changed, that night your restaurant was crowded and you didn't have the same professionalism and integrity as usual. Finally, you insisted on the tourists to give you a 15% tip because this is the law. It is Canada, while there is no such mandatory law in...

We celebrated a birthday at La Socca today with my child. There were some flies in the restaurant, probably due to the open terrace seating. I ordered the Poisson du jour. We also ordered pasta, calamari rings, and chicken wings for my child. As soon as the fish was served, suddenly a dozen flies swarmed around our table. I am quite afraid of insects, and it was truly terrifying. We expressed our concerns about the flies, and the staff suggested moving to the terrace. However, this did not solve the problem as more flies flew in once we were seated there. It was extremely disgusting as flies kept landing in our plates. I was in a state of shock and just wanted to leave as soon as possible. When I finally regained my composure, I realized that I had already paid the bill and even packed the food that had been touched by the flies. It was such a disgusting experience, and I can't believe I actually took the contaminated food with me. Moreover, there was no apology or attempt to stop me from paying by the staff. Furthermore, I wonder why the catfish attracted so many flies? I did not eat it, so I'm unsure if...
