I ordered the Les Grande Luxes smoked meat platter for two for my birthday. Ordered it a week ahead excited to get it only to get it home to be completely disappointed because of the amount of food they gave us one tiny cup of corn, not even filled to the top half a plate of fries and one gravy for two people i was very disappointed. even the coleslaw was soggy and enough for one person it seems they didn’t make enough and they stretched the portions. If I knew I was only going to get this amount of food for the price paid i iwould not have ordered it. They only gave us one chicken leg for two people. How do you split that? I do have to say for the amount of food they gave us. It was delicious. i’ve edited this post because they have redeemed themselves after this review and I’ve increased my stars the owner Eric made an effort to correct the issue that had risen and has assured me things are getting better with his business model. I will leave part of my original review because that’s the experience I felt at the time. I’ve since re-ordered the same thing better as the first time unfortunately it came exactly the same but in different packaging but I called the owner Eric and he corrected it immediately by driving to my house with additional food. To me that he went above and beyond made me change my review, I recommend the place because he is making an effort to make it a great experience for everyone. But be sure to get a reservation in the evenings because unfortunately, they were packed and turning away people, but what a great environment in there on a Friday night

I came by for 1 beer, the Hakon a l’erable, after doing an errand in the vicinity of Anorak. Then Tomas threw a few logs on the outdoor fire pit and started a fire for me, even when I said I was just having one beer, with so many ambitious plans on my agenda for the rest of the day. So, I had to order a fantastic O’Riordan stout to complement the heat, aroma, and ambiance around me. It’s such a perfect day not to be dismissed with chores, so I had to stay longer and have my dinner, a pound of their awesome perfectly spiced wings with Hawking, a beautiful authentic best bitter. In my opinion, the best best bitter in Quebec. This was all Tomas’ fault for lighting the fabulous beer garden outdoor fire pit. One simple beer turned into an delightful afternoon, way too many beers, too many calories, and pure joy for not missing out.

Update: I'm delighted with the FAST and positive response from Eric. Bumping my Service stars up to 5 just on the great reply alone. I recently dined here and had a mixed experience. The brisket, while absolutely delicious in flavor, was unfortunately incredibly fatty. The consistency made it less enjoyable, and I wouldn’t recommend it as it was beyond fatty and could definitely use some improvement. On a more positive note, the gyros and potato donuts were fantastic! The French fries were great, and I also loved the vinaigrette coleslaw, which was a refreshing addition. The atmosphere was pleasant overall, but the brisket really overshadowed the meal. Also, the non-alcoholic orange rattle wasn’t worth it—disappointing and not something I’d order again. If they can improve the brisket, it would be much better

Update: I'm delighted with the FAST and positive response from Eric. Bumping my Service stars up to 5 just on the great reply alone. I recently dined here and had a mixed experience. The brisket, while absolutely delicious in flavor, was unfortunately incredibly fatty. The consistency made it less enjoyable, and I wouldn’t recommend it as it was beyond fatty and could definitely use some improvement. We were excited to support local, but it was an unfortunate experience.

We arrived around 9pm on a Friday evening. Although the staff saw us at the door from the bar there was no greeting or acknowledgment, but an effort to avoid eye contact lol. Finally a young waitress walking by with plates in hand said someone would be by shortly. We continued to wait. I don’t know which was worse, the staff ignoring us from the bar, or the owner’s preference to continue chatting up a table as we continued to stand at the entrance for what felt like a good 10-15 minutes , for no reason, there was no line and tables were available to be seated at.

Our waiter was very nice and did his best despite being overwhelmed. We waited for menus, water, and had to get up from the table to simply beg that our order be taken. Once the order was in the food came out in a reasonable time and it was not bad, nachos were a little strange with the bbq sauce, but the rest was ok.

One moment that resonates is when our fries arrived. The owner (without a mask) placed the plate on top of a dirty, saucy plate and walks away to chat up another table before we even having a chance to ask for any condiments. Again, we had to get up and flag down a waiter to ask for ketchup and mayo. Regarding the empty dirty dishes, we placed them on the table next to us to get them out of the way.

Basic service and appreciation for supporting ones business shouldn’t be a lot to ask for.

Six months ago we had tried this restaurant and were quite disappointed and I had rated it 2 stars.

We went back tonight and I must say that the service was excellent as was the food. Kudos to Eric and his team as they have made all the required improvements for a great pub dining experience which has transformed my previous 2 star rating into a 5 star rating.

I recommend.

6 months ago… We decided to try this restaurant last Friday and we we're 4 people. The positive notes of our experience was that the beer was good as were the nachos with pulled pork. The negative aspects of our visit was that the service was very slow not just for the food but also for ordering drinks. We arrived at 6:50 and we're provided a table after a few minutes. At 7:05 our order was taken; our beers arrived 20 minutes later at 7:25. At 7:45 our nachos arrived. Our main course arrived at 8:30 but only because we asked the person serving us why it was taking so long. We ordered burgers and based on the description on the menu they sounded really good but the burgers we received did not match the description and we had the feeling we did not get what we ordered as the meat and the bacon in the burgers was dry and tasteless.

We were excited to try a new restaurant in the area and support our local community but our first experience was not...
