Mamacita Mexican Kitchen & Latin Market — Restaurant in Mount Pearl

MUST VISIT!! Mamacitas Kitchen deserves an in-person visit to really get what's going on. They have daily specials far beyond what's listed on their menu online. They have sweets and baked goods in the shop, including the freshest churro in the province, that will make your tastebuds water. They stock homemade preserves that you will want to eat with a spoon straight from the jar. The staff is so warm and friendly, they are excited to answer any of your questions and truly love food.

The market side of the restaurant is incredible. The prices are great and the selection of dried chilis is phenomenal. Every time I go I find something cool I want to try out at home. Plus, this is the only place in Mount Pearl that sells authentic Jarritos soda so stock up while you're here!!!

Restaurant/store is very small, making it challenging for more than 2 people at a time to browse or wait in line. It was very hot inside--a stuffy kind of heat.

The store had plenty of authentic Mexican items offered that you won't find anywhere else in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The store had things from pre-made food to candy to non-alcoholic drinks. The restaurant menu offered some appealing choices, but most of it included meat. The restaurant/store offers a few vegan/vegetarian food items. I ordered vegan tamles. They tasted okay. I would've liked more flavor, but they were alright. I'll try something different next time.

I'm very appreciative to have access to authentic Mexican food on the island. We don't have enough cuisine from other countries...

I've been here several times now, and have had a fantastic experience every time. The store has a great selection of products, the hot food I have tried has been delicious, and the staff are always welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
