The Iris Café — Restaurant in Municipality of Clanwilliam – Erickson

A pleasant, quaint little cafe with limited seating inside, and outside on a deck.  Has a small gift section from local vendors.  We went there on a Saturday before lunch and it appeared busy, and the table we sat at wasn't wiped clean.  You order, pay and then pick up your food at the counter when it's done, cafeteria style.  Staff behind the counter were friendly. We ordered a London Fog, which was delicious, and the waffle with syrup and whipped cream, as that was the only waffle option available at that time. The Waffles were fresh and esthetically pleasing but the butter was  too hard to spread over the waffles.  The syrup was already pre-poured on the waffles and the sweetness was too overpowering for us.  If we had known we would have asked for the syrup on the side, and recommend others doing the same.  We also thought $10.00 was a bit pricey for just a waffle.  It was a first time here for us, and overall, it was a pleasant enough experience and we will return to try some other interesting items...

What an incredible surprise, in the quaint little town of Erickson between Brandon and Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba. Tell me you know a place where you can get craft beer on draft, homemade salads, home baked desserts and specialized coffees all in one place? To discover this in a town of less than 700 people?? A very pretty little Cafe with some food options for eat in, eat on the pretty little deck or take out. Very good beverages, tarts, and the wrap was very good. If you're getting a wrap it's definitely a sit still to eat food, fresh crisp veggies chopped chunky. It was a little saucy but that why I'd sit still to eat it, it was super tasty and filling.
