Chicken Chef | Killarney — Restaurant in Municipality of Killarney-Turtle Mountain

I'm not super impressed with their service. I'm staying in town for work, and ordered the 3 piece chicken meal, plus a drink and gravy, delivery. I asked to have to the coleslaw side switched out for a Caesar salad. When the delivery driver showed up, I was told the total came to $40! I asked for a receipt, but they did not have one. Missing the ginger ale as well. The delivery driver did go back, and bring the receipt plus the drink. They didn't have ginger ale, so brought a 7up instead, which is fine. Except in a coffee cup, which is bout half of a bottle, still at full price though. So I asked how the total came to $40. "The price was $27, which gets rounded up to $30, and the delivery fee is $10." Ten dollars for the 3 block drive from the restaurant to the hotel. Crazy. And rounding up a price? What's that about? Also turns out they didn't switch out the side of coleslaw, but instead made an entire extra salad and charged me for it. No cutlery or napkins either. But the food was pretty good so I can't give...

For the most part the food is not horrible... if they choose to serve you.

During the week they are open till 8 and my parents went for supper at 730 and were told they wouldn’t be served and essentially to leave. Another time there was a group of us going for supper (15+). They were quite difficult to deal with in that they wouldn’t let us use the private room bc it was already set up for a different reservation for 3 hours later that evening. The waitress said she didn’t want to have to set the table again.

I got a bun with my meal once, without butter, and it had mould on it. The food is chicken delight food aka greasy and fried. So depends what you are looking for.

Just beautiful location in Killarney. Easily one of the best restaurants in town. Going to have a drink the bar is the nicest around is the only place where I go to have my beers unless it's at home. Plus the mayor is the owner you can always talk deals while you're here. I recommend you try the turtle Mountain Burger it is quite delicious gravy right aways equally...
