We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Harbourview! From the delicious seafood to the dedicated gluten-free menu, this was a hit for our family. We started by sharing the bacon-wrapped scallops. The bacon was crispy and the scallops were tender - a hard combination to execute for even the highest-end restaurants. The lobster rolls were fantastic. Not overloaded with mayo or other add-ins – just a delicious helping with large chunks of lobster and a grilled garlic-butter bun. Both the coleslaw and the macaroni salads were on point. My daughter raved about the roast chicken dinner. She said it was one of the best gluten-free stuffings she has had, and she also thought the gravy was excellent. She was also excited by the cranberry sauce on the side. For dessert, our table had apple crisp (the kids licked the bowls), pecan pie, and both versions of bread pudding. The desserts were sweeter than I make at home, but no one was complaining. The wait staff were friendly and the service was quicker than I expected. Special thanks to co-owner Dawn, who came to speak to us about ingredients in the desserts so that we could make a decision for our daughter who needs to limit gluten. I should also mention the Honey Wheat Ale from Gahan Brewery. My sister-in-law ordered it, and the small taste I had did not disappoint. The honey flavor was evident without being cloying or overpowering. Thank you for a delicious meal from a pleased Ontario family!!!

Update July 2022: What a gem! We arrived without a reservation and we're so grateful they were able to squeeze us in! The chowder was again amazing as expected (not sure if it was the same size as last year, but it was filling nonetheless!); delicious tartar sauce with the fish&chips; tasty fish cakes that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; and scallops cooked to perfection! My mother in law really appreciated the separate gluten-free menu as well. Thank you to the wonderful staff for the warm welcome! Aug 2021: Came to eat outside with my family. The food was delicious and the waitress was very kind and friendly. I would have liked a bigger portion for the "large" chowder but it was very tasty. Sweet potato fries were also really good and came with a nice spicy sauce.

Ambiance felt like an amazing small town fishing village restaurant. The food was amazing - everything so fresh and perfectly cooked with love. We had the chicken fries with the works. It included breast white chicken, mozzarella cheese, dressing, peas, and onions. The fries were so crispy and freshly done. The gravy was exceptionally tasty, and the dressing was home made. There is an excellent variety of local craft beers that add to the experience. The wait staff is friendly down east true home people that regularly check in and make sure you are good. The food came quickly and never felt rushed or pushy. Definitely a place we will be back at!

Once again disappointed that their recent renovation did not include accessible downstairs washrooms, major improvement to the wheelchair ramp etc. Unfortunately the owners are not in favour of these being done.

It is however a lovely old home that has been converted into a well loved restaurant by locals and visitors alike.

Covid-19, Fiona and the Service of the NFL Ferry being shut down for almost a month hasn’t helped anyone!

That is why I went back this year to support the two ladies who lease the Restaurant.

I was very disappointed in the serving size and unfortunately our server.

I ordered their lobster roll which they have on a run of the mill hot dog roll and a macaroni salad as my side. The lobster was great but 2 tbsp’s of salad in a paper cup is not worth the $20.00.

Our server was so so. However when we asked for the bill she just took the money that was handed to her without showing us the bill or leaving it with us. She took off very quickly!

Maybe we’ll go...
