The Paddy Shack — Restaurant in Nakusp

They dropped my food on the floor then picked it up and served it to me!!! So happy I watched this all happen including the gal on the grill asking the girl who dropped my food “which side did it land on?” They proceeded to grab the burger and “brush it off” then put in on the plate!!!! I was so shocked when they called my name to serve the floor food... I then asked the gal is this off the floor??? She grabbed the bun off one burger and turned red and said “she brushed it off” gesturing to the grill girl. Obviously the staff here has had zero food safety training because all 3 of them felt it was totally acceptable to drop food on the floor and then serve it to us!!! I would hate to think what they do and think is ok when people are not watching! I will never eat here again ( and sadly it is one of the only places to eat along the entire highway 6). I will be calling the owner and health inspector! I never write bad reviews but food safety is no joke and this experience left me gobsmacked! DO BETTER! The staff in your kitchen have no business feeding the public without knowledge...

Probably the yummiest onion rings and delish burgers that I've had in a while, served by a crew of kind and hardworking young ladies. A truly pretty, colourful shack just off the main road with sprawling, stunning views of the mountains surrounding Nakusp. Limited outside seating on the spaced out picnic tables in the lawn upfront, a high table with bar stools, another small table with chairs, and some garden seats.

Given the constant demand and never-ending stream of customers, it's better to call and order well before pulling in to their tiny adjacent parking lot. The attached restroom is clean, neat and bright, and I loved the poster in there which stated, "Be silly. Be fun. Be different. Be YOU , because LiFE is too short to be anything but HAPPY".

Worst hamburgers we've ever had... we ordered the shack burger, bacon cheese burger, med curly fries and some deep fried mushrooms for over 30$-took over 20 minutes and definitely not worth the wait 😐Our dogs wouldn't even eat the fries they were so over cooked as were the burgers - could hardly pull them apart to feed the dogs as after the first couple bites it was not worth the extra bun or grease to have a third bite ☹️ Not a lot to choose from in Nakusp and we made a special point of driving out of our way to try this place from the reviews we read... perhaps that's why this is only the 12th opinion as I would garner most people have taken the high road and decided if they had nothing nice to say they would say nothing at all... my dad has harsher words but I think you...
