POKÉ PAGE — Restaurant in Nanaimo

Like most in nanaimo we love poke page, tonight has been a little different than our usual experience.

I was served by a younger guy who was extremely friendly and nice. Wearing a deftones shirt. I wish I got your name so I could leave you a good review. I hope you see this.

There was another working behind the bar. A lady not much older than the guy who served me. Black hair in a ponytail... I haven't witnessed unprofessionalism as bad as what she did in a LONG time.

I am in a management position where I supervise people and she lacks the skills necessary to be in that position. If she even is.. she didn't agree with the dish the guy used to heat up the BBQ so she started to wipe down the counter and block the torches and told him he could do it somewhere else.... in front of me, another customer and a restaurant full of customers.

There was so much more. That kind of person is why the store was dirty and so many things were "not available today"

I still really like the restaraunt and the food. Just terrible when one person can honestly ruin the whole thing.

I hope "deftones" gets a raise, and the other lady...

The food and drinks are excellent but the poor service is so bad that it makes me give this place 1 star. Today I had to wait on hold for over 15mins while hearing in the background new customers walk in and them serving those customers while I wait. I understand finishing up with a customer and putting me on hold for a few mins while they do so but I waited for over 15mins on hold while they helped multiple other customers all I wanted was to order a couple drinks. Then had a 15mins wait time for 2 drinks to be ready. So all in all waited half an hour for 2 drinks. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me and even when I go in the service takes forever. Good food and drinks but not good enough for how bad the service is. I also tried to order online because they advertise it but it doesn’t work. Worst service I’ve received from a restaurant in...

I'm just gonna guess that the owners daughter works there because she was rude and disrespectful and acted like she owned the place. I told her I had never been there and didn't want everything that was on what I ordered. She just continued to add whatever she wanted without asking me a thing. Again I said I didn't want exactly what was on the menu and she turned around to the kitchen lady and talked in a language I didn't understand and continued to add things I didn't want. I spend lots of money on food in Nanaimo and I will never go back there because of the service I got. The poke bowl I purchased for 20 plus bucks went in the garbage and I ordered Firehouse Grill. Might wanna work on the employees there listening cause I definitely have a bad taste in my mouth. My cat liked the shrimp so...
