Comeau's Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in New Brunswick

Saff are lovely/ Food is always made to order & fresh & traditionally the portions have always been amazzzzing with a wonderful selection of homemade desserts....However the past 3 visits have been a bit disappointing.

Each of our last visits have been timed differently to figure out if we were just having bum luck such as arriving during or directly after an exceptionally busy time of day. Today we arrived at 11:30am (just before what is normally a busy lunch).

Unfortunately after today's lunch we realized the portion sizes are now the new normal & the prices no longer reflect the quality or portions. We also noted that others must be noticing the same trend as this normally "VERY BUSY" little diamond in the rough restaurant served only 3 tables of people during the time we were there.

The staff are as lovely as ever however the food was meh, portions are far smaller than they had always been & only had a limited selection of desserts (which looked to be leftovers from the previous evening). Both the Irving restaurant along with a little take out which are across the road from Comeau's were very busy with a lunch crowd.

We left feeling disappointed. Comeau's had always been one of those off the beaten path & telling friends its the type of place "Worthy of a Saturday drive to treat yourself to clams/fish or any number of the delicious homemade desserts.... After today's lunch it wouldn't be my first...

Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because me and my fiance drove about an hour to stop in for lunch it was very busy to be expected with any fantastic restaurant we were greeted and told there maybe a bit of a wait but she would check to see as we were waiting for her to come back another older waitress came to us(believe her name was Nancy) didn't greet us just said "were full" my fiance explained we were talking to another waitress and she went to see if there was a table or if somebody was finishing up she then replied "who did what" my fiance then begin to repeat what she said to be cut off with " ya no were full if you want to wait I can take your name but I don't know how long it will be" we gave our name after she went back to work debated on staying we didn't even finish debating when the original waitress came and said "sorry about the wait it will only be another minute " we decided to stay due to this waitress and was happy we did the food was amazing the waitress we had serving us was pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant experience .Thankful we didn't let one unpleasant waitress ruin the...

Food wasn't bad but is not " seafood" taste that I was expecting; as the people that recommended that place said. The atmosphere and the services was not pleasant at all, one of the staff yelling at the waitress because they didn't gave us the table at the entrance as the rest was clean and now they have to clean again; all the time we felt the rush to get us out of there, even when it was over an hour before they close, another family arrived and it was the same situation the asked for another table and the answer was bad 👎🏾 I don't know if I went in a wrong day but surely we won't be back again.
