This place is all about location and the food is pretty decent too for the island. This particular dish is my guilty pleasure - it’s their Island Fries and it’s loaded with their queso sauce (i rarely ever eat cheese wiz but pretty sure this is it), real bacon, green onions, tomato, creama, etc and delicious crispy fries like the Costco ones. The rest of the menu looks great but darn it - i keep getting these fries. Pro tip : Order ahead.

Crossing this little boat ramp to the tiny island in front of the restaurant is a great place to munch your food and watch the seal activity. No garbage there so clean up after yourself. I recently had the pleasure of dining at ocean view takeout, and I was thoroughly impressed! The outdoor deck offers stunning views of the water, creating a tranquil and inviting atmosphere. But what truly stole the show was the incredible food - each bite was a delight! The portions were generously sized, to say the least, and the prices were remarkably affordable. In fact, my burger and poutine combo cost less than a comparable meal at McDonald's! Talk about value for money! I left feeling full and satisfied, with a big smile on my face. After reading so many great things about the Ocean View Take-Out online we knew we had to check it out when we were on Deer Island last week.

We shared a Clam Platter and a large Fish & Chips. Both were delicious but the clams, omg ...sooo good!!! We were definitely not disappointed!!! 😋

We ate our meal at one of the tables available on the deck from where we also enjoyed the beautiful view.

Although we didn't try the Steak Sandwich we heard good things about it as well. The person enjoying this one was kind enough to let me snap a picture of what he had left. It looks amazing ... definitely something to try...
