Worst service I've received at a restaurant in a very long time. Didn't have a chance to try the food. We showed up here yesterday and were nearly shooed out the door. Arrived several minutes after the posted opening time, and the employee who came to the counter approached us with a demeanor that seemed to say "who are you and what are you doing here". After pretty much having to explain why we were there as if we'd entered a stranger's house, Without a hint of apology or interest in encouraging us to wait, she told us they were busy with something else and were "not really open" for close to 15 more minutes (I think she did give us permission to find a table and wait if we wanted, but seemed, at best, indifferent to the idea). I've heard the food here was great, but hungry as we were after several hours' drive and a trail walk, we immediately left and drove another hour and a half to get a decent meal. The cape shore is a very rural area, but this place seems like a hick town takeout which opens whenever they want. The cape shore is a beautiful drive, and the Cape St.Mary's seabird reserve is worth a visit, but I recommend bringing a...

This is the one and only restaurant in St. Bride’s which is very close to Cape St. Mary’s. Stopped by on June 19 for a meal while heading home. Very delicious fish and chips especially for having no competition around! They have free wifi there which was an add on because there’s no cell signal in the area.

During the meal, I asked for some mayo for my fries but I think the server got confused and gave me tarter sauce for the fish instead.

One thing I was a little concerned about was the tap water because it has a yellow tint and some residue at the bottom. I opted for hot water so that it was boiled and for sure I won’t get sick. This was something very minor when this is a very small town.

Their menu is outdated as noted when the server was taking our order. The prices are different than what’s in the pictures I have included in this review. Some items have been...

First off, we were met with a rude kitchen staff member, we were placed in a seat next to literally what I can assume was a yard sale, waited almost 40 minutes for the birds nest meal. It was all compliments brand chicken fingers, onion rings and mozza sticks. FOR $15 What the hell is with this price?! Id expect home cut, and battered good quality cut meat at a Minimum! We had people walking around us looking at the yard sale as we were eating. There were literally piles of dead flies in the light fixtures above us, and the restaurant smelled like moth balls. Completely disappointing and horrible restaurant and will never...

Google Maps says temporarily closed but server said restaurant is open 2pm daily and 12pm on Sundays. Delicious, fresh cod, caught the day of; battered and cooked to perfection. Good portioned meal. Tasty. Service was incredible--friendly, professional, attentive, knowledgeable about the restaurant. Owner was also wonderful to speak with and cared about her business. Restaurant including washroom was clean, spacious. Covid precautions put in place. I wouldn't recommend to vegans, most vegetarians or most wheelchair.

My partner and I shared the cod fish and chips, and pan fried cod. The cod had just come in fresh that day! Both the cook and the waitress have fishermen husbands that bring in fresh fish for the restaurant. Best fish and chips I've had in my life. And the pan fried cod? It was the best fish I've ever had in my 40 years of life. Exactly what I was looking for in a restaurant!
