We highly recommend the new restaurant, Terroir, at Strewn Winery! It is just about 3 Km west of NOTL along Lakeshore Rd. Terroir Restaurant and Wine Bar has a delightful patio for a scrumptious lunch or dinner and a nice dining room. On the outside patio, the chirping birds, cooling breeze and abundant roses near the vineyard and woods make for a wonderful ambiance. The Strewn, 2022 Chardonay, Barrel Fermented, is great, with an amazing oak flavour. For dinner I had the most delectable “Shore Dinner”, pan fried pickerel, by Chef Matt. Another day for lunch, we had the Blanco Pizza (with grilled asparagus, spring peas turnip, shallots, cream goat camembert), to die for! My partner had a Grilled Ham and Cheese sandwich (with tasty, glazed ham), which was excellent! The service for dining was excellent, from the Matre d’, Karil, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The outside chairs are superb for back support as are the inside chairs. Perfect for a gardener that needs a break from the endless weeds. The wines offered at Strewn are reasonably priced, (including in the restaurant). Juan, at the Tasting Bar, is very knowledgeable, informative and provides a very enjoyable experience. There is also a separate outside covered wine tasting patio, overlooking the lush vineyard and woods. Additionally, Strewn has a very nice small conference center with a kitchen, and comfortable living room space, including relaxing accommodation for...

Read moreHad dinner tonight for the first time in the restaurant. Did not disappoint! We started with a salad, sorry no pic. Beautiful fresh ingredients, lots of fruit, walnuts and cheese, generous portion. I had the Parmesan risotto full of peas, fresh asparagus, fiddleheads, and a very healthy dose of Parmesan. Excellent! For entrees, we had the steak with a fabulous and flavourful au jus with a medley of fresh colourful veggies cooked to perfection. Also had the trout over a medley of seasonal veggies that were pleasing to the eye and palate. Topping the tout that had the crispiest skin I have ever had was a bread crumb seasoned deep fried soft poached egg. What a beautiful combination of flavours. Wow! For dessert we had the flourless chocolate sin cake that melted in my mouth and my husband had the cheesecake with apple on top. All baked in house! Not to mention the wine pairing suggested by our server Kefil was also a very good choice. Service was top-notch, very attentive and accommodating. Very unique place to enjoy dinner. They have it all, a tasting room, a retail store, a dining room and also a cooking class kitchen! And not to mention the outdoor space! Do yourself a favour and book a reservation here at Strewn!
