We stopped by for lunch at the Farmhouse Cafe. We booked reservations online, which I can see being recommended during busy times like the summertime or weekends. Given that it was a weekday and already past the peak holiday season, it wasn't super busy when we went, so there was ample seating. The French onion soup was yummy, as were the shrimp tacos and steak sandwich (including accompanying beet salad). Our kids had grilled cheese and poutine, which was decent too. If you're in the Niagara area, it's definitely worth grabbing lunch at this cafe or other places outside of the more touristy area by the falls. The server we were assigned was very nice and checked in on us throughout the meal. The food itself took a teeny big longer to come out, but nothing crazy. The cafe is attached to/part of Caroline Cellars. We didn't do a wine tasting. We have in the past, and it wasn't my favourite, so we didn't have any wine this time. However, it's been a number of years, so maybe things are different now!

We went here for lunch as part of our wine tasting tour. This is place offers wines to try and serve delectable food as well. We ordered chicken burger, sirloin burger and one of the specials that day, thanksgiving poutine. The burgers were served with garden salad (you can choose fries if you want), generous servings. We were not able to eat even half of the burgers we since the salad and poutine themselves made our tummies full. I guess top that with the wines we have tried. When we arrived, we were seated and gave our orders (food) before heading to their "bar" to try some wines. We ended up buying their Vidal, yup, the biggest one. The place is clean, especially their washrooms. The people who work there have superb customer service. Hats off to the chef, really. The food and experience is great! We told our friends and families about it and will surely be back.

My very good friend and I have been here before. We love The Farmhouse Cafe. The food is delicious, prices are very reasonable, good service, very personable wait staff, great location, huge free parking lot. My very good friend had a Farmhouse Reuben Panini; house made corned beef, authentic Sauerkraut, Swiss cheese on marble rye with smoked aioli and side of fries. My friend loved it. I had the Shrimp Tacos; crispy coated shrimp, lettuce, chipotle aioli, avocado crema and topped with pineapple salsa. I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ this. Definitely getting this again. I also had a Pellegrino, so good. Last time we both had the Fall Harvest Bowl which also was so delicious. Both are a must have. Definitely recommend!!!!!

PLEASE NEVER EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give 0 star I would, this place doesn’t deserve any. Went to bring our family because the place had good reviews, waited close to 45 mins when they said it was 25 mins wait. Told the staff my mom is diabetic if we can order right away as I noticed since we waited for our table we may have to wait for our food too. They brought my mom crackers to help her, but the juice that was offered to help her sugar level never came. What made things worse was when a couple that got seated after us had their order served first before us! That was very infuriating, when I asked our server Christine what happened, she brushed me off with a snarky response “well, your table is a bigger party so the table with 2 people get to have their food first!” Wow!! First of all, we only had 3 orders!!! Secondly, never have I been to any food restaurant establishment wherein the number of guest is dependent on the sequence of how they prepare and serve food, that’s the most ridiculous food service practice I’ve ever heard of! Our food arrived another 40 minutes after being seated and all together not the soup and salad first. When brought my concern to the manager Justine(who btw pretended my husband wasn’t there when he tried to call her when we got seated) she had the same monotonous line of”I’m sorry to hear that” over and over, seemed like she couldn’t wait to leave the conversation and instead of rectifying it she became defensive, completely ignored the issue at hand, which at the end I was not surprised. I blame management if staffs are rude, it’s obviously poor training and a bad reflection of them. Complete waste of our time and money, the food doesn’t even justify the service you receive at this place. Bottom line we probably would have had a better service if we weren’t a minority. They give you that feeling that they’re pulling teeth and don’t want to serve you and talk to you. Terribly sad it’s still happening at this...
