Hit The Spot — Restaurant in North Bay

My husband and had lunch here a month or so ago and were impressed by the spacious seating area, clean surroundings including the washrooms, and we enjoyed our food which was generous and hot. Today we stopped in again, but were not so impressed. There were different people serving today and although they were friendly, our portions were quite small and we felt our meal was expensive for what we got. It’s not that we’re big eaters, but the small fry carton was only partially filled and I had to search for the thin slice of tomato in my tomato sandwich. Ironically, from where we sat we could see a large pile of 50 lb bags of potatoes and we commented to each other that someone must peel potatoes every day. The food we got was good, but fill up the containers! A heaping plate will bring a customer back faster than a skimpy one. Now it might be awhile...

I've been going to Hit The Spot for years and I've never had any problems until the last month or two. I'm not sure what to say because I'm genuinely surprised by what I've experienced. My food has either been burnt and inedible, cold from waiting so long, or things are missing from my order. Today, I went in and ordered a chicken burger combo. I waited nearly 20 minutes for my order (called it in to save time), only to receive my chicken burger with a completely burnt bun, no ketchup as I requested, and my fries were floating in grease. I'm so disappointed because this has been a favourite for years while living on Lake Heights.. I don't know what happened, but...

You want fast sweet service, the tall brown hair girl at lunch knoes what she doin. Very impressed. Does not mess around but very nice, and solid even when buzy, even cracked a joke with us. Good for us construction workers who don’t wan wait. The staff is great. I see young man snd tall girl work together often (thinking owners son) , and it amaze me, great duo. Owners are fantastic too. When I go in early lunch. Food always great. Great other staff too. What more can a man want! Go to stop mid job. Pronto pops r great . Great prices....
