We pulled in late one night and stumbled into what can only be described as the roadside diner of your dreams—or maybe your hallucinations. Picture vinyl booths straight out of 1975, country music twanging through the speakers, and a menu thick enough to stop a bullet. At least twenty pages long, it reads like the Old Testament of diner food.
The convenience store attached is a wonderland of random treasures. Three Wolf Moon shirts? Check. Wraparound sunglasses that make you look like you just joined a pit crew? Absolutely. Fish-and-lobster slippers in kids’ sizes and adult? Of course. And the beer fridge? Bigger than the bathrooms, probably bigger than my first apartment.
The food was hot, tasty, and arrived faster than you can say, “I’ll have extra meat on my meat with a side of poutine and a coke.” The waitress was the kind you tell your kids about—and the kind you’d happily hook grandpa up with.
Highly recommend pulling over if you’re anywhere near Ottawa. Even if you don’t need food or gas, stop in anyway. This isn’t a pit stop, it’s...

The very young waitress was busy yapping with a dude sitting 2 seats from me...5 minutes passed...still no service, at 10 minutes, another waitress who was busy with inventory told her a customer was at counter, she answered "ya"...and kept yapping... i had seen enough, i left...
Had better service fron the clerk at the convenience store section.
There won't be a third chance, they lost a customer and the clueless waitress lost a good tip as i am a tipping customer who recognize...
Read moreGreat stop between Montreal and Ottawa. Friendly staff, huge portions, good food. There's a kids menu (breakfast and regular), crayons and activities placemat. Kids drink was served in a cup with lid, the spaghetti was served in a bowl - these are greatly appreciated, specially in the middle of a road trip, less mess! Kids spaghetti with meat sauce was really good! The sauce tasted like homemade (way better than Boston Pizza's!!!), Ground meat, tomatoes, carrots and celery (our picky kid had it all without complaining!). It included a drink and a dessert. The Montreal smoke meat was really good. Clean washrooms and great store with a great variety of items: snacks, take away food, treats and small toys, as well as umbrellas, sunglasses and some clothing...
