We went to Brigadoon Restaurant for a mid week lunch on my birthday after being there before several years ago. The decor is stunning and filled with beautiful antiques and interesting history. The menu is really not for anyone with an ordinary palate there weren't many plain dishes to choose from at all! I had Brigadoon St. Jacques which was good but very rich filled with loads of shrimps and scallops which was a good thing. I found the sauce which had onions, butter, mushrooms and Parmesan cheese in it very overpowering. It could have been toned a notch or two in my opinion. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse which I expected to be light and fluffy but it was way over the top too thick sweet and rich for me. My Husband had the Steak on Puff Pastry with fries which he enjoyed very much and loved the Ice cream pie . Overall the service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly. We were pleased and enjoyed our lunch however most of the menu looked over embellished with too many fancy sauces overpowering the food. We would like to try some of the events and other special things they offer. We will give it a try again in the...

Price was way too high for the quality of food. Our Waitress was great. The owner stopped to talk to us and she had her mask below her nose. She sat at a table by us and was doing work at the table. She stood up with no mask on and walked around to the bar and back without a mask. We were the only couple there but I found it unprofessional and careless. There was a Golliwog on the shelf with antiques. I asked the waitress why they had it displayed in these times with all that is going on. She said earlier many people ask as well and its the owner not her. I mentioned to the owner that many people find it offensive and racist why would she have it there. She said "it's not offensive it's the same as the doll I had as a child". I told her I was finding it offensive and she just repeated No it's not offensive. It was Offensive to me! Food wise I would not return. Bacon wrapped scallops smelled fishy but tasted ok. Stuffed Chicken was a bit dry. Ravioli was thick dough but sauce was good. We also had desserts that...

So this date night thing happened on the weekend, Friday night to be precise. We arrived at the reserved time, were seated immediately and given menus and told about the specials. We ordered a bottle of wine and ordered, one prime rib special which included an appetizer of seafood quesadillas, which were delicious, the main course at medium rare served with Yorkshire pudding and vegetable and bumble berry pie with ice cream for dessert. The second meal was the fish special of haddock with risotto and vegetables, also quite delicious. We finished the experience off with a pair of cappuccinos. The evening was very pleasant from start to finish, the service was exceptional, the location is a bit out of the way but, this adds to the experience in my opinion, expect to pay a little more, we were approx $180, taxes and 20%...

Located in a beautiful small-town setting, this must be one of the best restaurants my wife and I have ever been. The food is excellent, and the service professional and friendly. The atmosphere is convivial with all the antique mementos that gives a special mood to the place. While food is expensive, it is totally worth the experience. The food is high quality, very testy, well presented and the portions are quite appropriate. It is always a very enjoyable experience. I would like to add that on couple of occasions, the Chef prepared and modified the cooking to meet my food constraints. I wholeheartedly recommend the Brigadoon.

Brigadoon restaurant offered an excellent dining experience. The ambiance of the room was both unique and incredible. Our waitress Devin was courteous, professional, and personable. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The meals are pricey, but worth every penny. I cannot recommend this establishment enough. Reserve a table and go immediately. Between the food and the countless antique items on display, your senses will be tantalized the whole evening through.
