Wally’s Place Pub & Patio — Restaurant in North Kawartha

Very surprising visit. We went to check out this place on a Friday afternoon since it had so many great reviews and is close to our cottage. Only a few people were sitting outside chatting and no one was sitting inside since the weather was gorgeous. Went inside to let them know we were here and if we could sit outside and was told we could sit wherever we wanted. So we sat down outside and waited. And waited. No one came and no one spoke to us. I know we're on cottage time, but after 15 minutes we just got up and left. And, again, no one said anything. Very odd. I want to like this place and I don't like leaving reviews like this for local places. I may try another time and if it's different then I will...

$25 for an awful burger. Makes school cafeterias look Michelin star quality. The burger was labeled as a smash burger and just wasn’t. They specifically stated in the description the middle is raw on purpose, so I asked for it well done… it still came out undercooked.

The condiments were all very expired. And the burger itself didn’t come with anything. It was just fake cheese spread and pickles. No fries either, instead, oily chips for the side. With the option to upgrade to a salad for $4. Honestly go somewhere...

Fabulous to have such a great little Pub on Chandos Lake!! Owners are so friendly and eager to please, genuinely friendly and remember your names when you return for another deeeelish marqueritta on the patio. Special thanks to Jamie ( sp ) our awesome server. Always smiling and attentive, takes the time to have a short chat whike keeping an eye on her tables. Take a look in the Marina store, so many cool cottagey handmade items, and the young lady at the counter is a real gem...
