I ordered a hamburger platter, that said fries and coleslaw... was asked what I wanted on the burger- lettuce, onion, and mayo... hamburger arrived with only onion on it and chunks of boiled potatoes some of which were fried on a planchet grill, and some of which were too big to cook... Burger and potatoes and coleslaw had no seasoning and hardly any taste beyond the bun, which was good... if you don't want to make it then take it off the menu, this burger was a joke... Mother ordered the seafood chowder which they first said they were out of and then said they had one or two left... she enjoyed her chowder, which had lots of variety of seafood in it and a charming scone thing with it too that looked good.... Service was fast enough, only 10 minutes to get a glass of pop and water... kitchen was slow, about half an hour to cook a burger, skip the fries, skip the toppings, and put chowder in a bowl... Keep driving unless you have no other options...

Enjoyed breakfast with a friend here recently. It was busy for a weekday morning, but the service was friendly and people seemed happy. I had the eggs benny and my friend had the big breakfast. Both decent meals and the price was right at $16-$17.00 each. The coffee was good and everyone was friendlly. The space is nice, a cozy room initially but it opens into more seating in the back. There’s a good variety of seating options, including some cozy chairs and a patio. The space and number of tables is high for the volume of staff. I would say as they fill up, you can anticipate a little longer of a wait and maybe having to ask for things like refills. It’s a super rural area near the tip of the Island and I think it’s important to keep in mind the availability of people looking for a seasonal serving job in this area. Manage your expectations when visiting a small rural spot, they have a rushes out of the blue just like anyone else.

My review is based on eating out on the patio - not inside. Mixed feelings - the food was partially very good but my experience was completely ruined by being stuck in burning sun on the patio (I was alone with my dog). There is absolutely zero shade and I wasn't offered water, I had to ask. Food: I ordered the fish Taco and the lobster sea salad. The Taco was delicious! The issue was that the first one was absolutely perfect and tasty, but the second one was sadly overcooked and tasted of burnt food. (You can is the fish on the left taco is overcooked on the picture). The salad was good. I sadly do not like very sugary sweet fruity dressing for salad and it came with a sort of strawberry-raspberry dressing (store bought maybe?). The lobster didn't taste very fresh, unfortunately, but it was still good. I'm afraid being stuck outside really ruined my experience. I do not recommend the patio as it is in full sun with zero shade.
