Found this place accidentally while we were on our way to the Cabot Trail. I am so glad Herring Choker Deli’s and our path crossed each other! First of all, the staff is super friendly here; we had the pleasure of being served by Cheryl. Their sandwiches (including the locally made bread!), various coffees are delicious. The portions (they offer kid menus as well) are great, and I remember we couldn’t even eat everything on the spot. Next day we ate the leftover which was still very good – this tells you a lot that they use quality ingredients. Are they pricey? The price jump from just a sandwich to soup and sandwich is a little high. Very high actually. It's a $6.50-$7.00 jump. Which is saying a small sized single portion soup is almost $7.00. Read moreI walked in and thought wow this is a cute place. I walked up to the counter and the staff pretended I wasn’t there. Finally after a few minutes they had someone ask what I wanted. After I ordered I saw a different cashier talking friendly to the next few customers. They got there ordered before me. My only complaint is why? I’m definitely not going back. Food is really good!
