Asher’s was a disappointing experience-my burger was not cooked properly so I ate around the perimeter where the properly cooked portion was until the server asked how everything was. I asked him if he would cook the remaining burger in the microwave which they did. The server did say that the chef said he would cook me another burger if I wanted. I said no that’s ok as I really didn’t have the time for a burger to be cooked again.
My Cesar salad was nothing special and I was not offered any pepper for the salad, and my husband fries were not crispy but limp and not tasty and no salt had been added to them
I found the menu to be quite limited and uninteresting. Even the burger, in our opinion, was a thumbs down. There was a lack of seasoning to the burger and no salt or pepper on the table.
We had two burgers, 2 beers and 2 wines and it cost $106 —- too much for a less than mediocre meal!
They could have compensated us at least a drink for the under cooked burger but they didn’t.
We asked about dessert and the server said they didn’t have a menu but would check in the back to see what they have. Now we were here on their opening day of the season…so I was very reluctant to order one of the two choices that they had as I am thinking well has it been in their freezer for months???and so we didn’t have dessert.
Even finding the entrance was a challenge and we parked up at the front of the building because we did not see a sign saying “parking in the back for dining room “ until we were walking a ways to find the restaurant and we then had to go down a hill and across the large parking lot and enter an undefined (No signage) door to get into the restaurant.
Also, I had made a reservation online the day before and never heard back from the dining room re our reservation…so I called and the person on the phone I spoke to was not even aware that they took reservations online? She also told me there was a buffet but it was not offered to us when we were there. Bottom line - not impressed and...
Read moreWe’d never been to Asher’s and thought it would be a good way to spend my birthday. The servers cell phone started to ring when we were being seated. My partner and I ordered from the LondonLicious menu. Our friends ordered from regular menu. My friend ordered steak but asked if he could have rice or baked potato. Was told that he would ask. Steak arrived with fries. I asked for a Blueberry tea. Served didn’t know what I was talking about so I showed him in the menu. After about 15 minutes the server came back and asked if I knew it had alcohol in it. I said yes ( I am over the age of 40+). It took another 15 minutes to get. My partner ordered a second beer. That never came. No one ever came back to see if we needed anything ever. In watching the table next to us, the same waiter was having problems opening a bottle of wine. I was looking so forward to a new experience but will never come back. We did not stay at this establishment. We only...
Read moreWe had dinner for 8 Friday evening. Two guests ordered the hamburger with an accompanying side dish. My burger was burnt and well overdone and after one only bite I advised the server Carole to which she said " Who said it is burnt ?" I was more than flabbergasted and told her so. She replied that she was being sarcastic and then left. Deano another server came to the table and was more than conciliatory and apologetic and offered a variety of solutions which I politely declined. He removed the plate and as such did exactly what I would expect in this type of situation. After the meal I took him aside and spoke to him and expressed how well he handled himself.
When we asked the other guest how her hamburger was ...she said "adequate....no condiments were offered ...no lettuce , a tomato slice..just a burger with cheese and a bun"
This was my first experience at...
