The Blue Elephant is a frequent place for our family dinners. We go a couple times a month for a big family dinner. I am personally not a big Thai food person. But I do love their pub food. They have something for everyone there. The staff are amazing. I have come to know and become friends with many of them over the years. They know our whole family very well. My favourite dishes are: Oak Grown Shitake Cream soup - This is a Michelin Star level cream of mushroom soup. It's thick and creamy and I always burn my mouth eating it because I'm too impatient to wait for it to cool a little before devouring the bowl. Chicken Wings - If you like a traditional pub style wing. Then these will hit the spot for you. I have never had bad wings from here. They're always consistent and I can crush a lot of them. Thai egg Rolls - These are one of the few exceptions to my not liking much Thai food. I could smash a 100 of these and sell my kidney for more. I live them with the Thai chili sauce. It also comes with a plum but I prefer the sweet spicy combo instead. I find it truly balances and complements this dish. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich - I either get this or a burger. But on this day I decided I wanted the chicken. I always get it with buffalo sauce and extra creamy blue cheese on the side. I love creamy blue cheese. I also get cheese sauce and gravy for their crispy coated fries. The combo just checks all the comfort food check boxes. I normally get extra wings and Thai egg rolls to go. There is no such thing as too many wings and Thai Egg Rolls.

Date of visit: Sunday, March 10th, 2024 After a day of exploring Norfolk county, we popped into the Blue Elephant for dinner. We've been here before, but admittedly, it's been a long while. It was nice to see it was just as we remembered (in all the right ways). The restaurant brewpub is very cozy & relaxed. The atmosphere is very chill and not loud like sportsbars. We ordered the steak fajitas, the maple walnut encrusted chicken, and the mac & cheese burger. The fajitas were sizzling, with ample steak/peppers/ onions, as well as plentiful toppings. They were very tasty and filling....a doggie box was required. The maple walnut chicken was delicious. It has a thick & delicious crust ( the best part). Served with mashed potatoes and veggies. The mac & cheese burger was tasty. It is exactly what you'd expect. Overall the food was very good. The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The beer on tap is their own, and always a great selection on draught. Prices were very reasonable. This is a great spot for a pint or a full meal It's a lovely spot to experience when you are in Simcoe.

I wish I had known of this brewery sooner, if I had, today would not have been my first visit. Blue Elephant is a most excellent place to enjoy; the beer, the food, the seating & the people - five stars across the board - spent grain pizza and local farm fresh wings, a flight of beers laid out in an elephant holder! It has two patios, one front street facing and another back with a quieter relaxed vibe, bar seating and two dining areas for the indoor cozy ambience. Every detail along the way has been touched with the sense of love and adventure. The prices are on par for our post-pandemic world, yet the flavours and servings will have you satisfied. Come for the beer, they're delicious, stay for the food, and enjoy the company in a relaxed and comfortable setting. They also offer take home cans, and for the party times, kegs can be purchased as well!

Love Love Love the food.!!!!! My fiance and I were location scouting for our destination wedding venues near here decided to stop by for lunch and dinner the second time we came back into town. The food is good we paid a lot of money but it was soo worth it. You have to try their beers. They even sell it next door. I wish we bought a whole case. My favourite menu item was the Almond salad with camermaalized chicken.

My fiance and I wanted to hire them for our wedding because they have a catering menu as well and do cater off site. It also had the best catering menu we saw out of many caterering menus across Ontario.

Sadly, we had to fire our wedding venue we booked, and move our wedding closer to my family. We are sad that we won't be eating their tasty food on our wedding night but it won't be the last time we go there. We will probably use them for our bachorlette party or something in the near future. Heather ( the owner) is nothing but amazing about getting back to you and answering all your questions.

No this review is not sponsored. I have worked in many professional kitchens and restaurant. I know a good restaurant when I see one. Everything thing from their Front of House Staff service to their food was nothing but excellent!!!! Food came out hot and on time and their presentation was excellent.

Check this place out even if you are just passing through simco ON. You...

Not sure what happened w/ the kitchen staff or whether they had inexperienced cooks on a slower Monday night, b/ we had a very poor experience. We ordered nachos for an appetizer. Peculiar that they used round nachos b/ that they did not melt the cheese very well; lower layer was fridge-cold. We sent it back to reheat; no big issue. It came back a bit better melted on top b/ lower layer was the same; still cold. The waitress hadn't come back so I brought it inside (we were on the patio) to show her again. She then brought it out a third time with way overcooked soup of cheese. I said "a bit overkill, don't you think?" My son's burger was obviously sitting under the heat lamp as his bun was crusty toasted. Server never came back to check w/ us, ask us if we wanted another beer, nothing. Such a shame. Service was fair. They did not have a menu/listing of craft beers on tap. Server had trouble listing them. She finally came out w/ a list (bartender's?). We requested to see a manager b/ no one ever came out. She still wanted to charge full price then half price of the nachos as "we had eaten some". I was not going to get into a discussion about the burger. Sadly, this was my son's birthday and it was supposed to be a great night. I told the server of his birthday and she said they didn't do anything. Really?? A huge disappointment. Definitely won't be going back nor...
