My family and I come to this restaurant every week for months now, the experience at the beginning was so amazing that we made the 50 minute drive every single weekend. Unfortunately the last four times we have come here the experience has been terrible. From the food not being cooked properly - to the staff being extremely impolite. Last week we ordered the shrimp bites as usual and when they came to the table the garlic bread was just a piece of toasted bread with nothing on it, the shrimp bites were made without the bruschetta mix and tasted off, the fried tasted as if they were left out and old, I spoke with the manager and let him know this was the second time this had happened in the last week. He was very nice and offered us some coupons, we told him it was no problem and we would be back again next week to give it another go. This week we went, ordered the same order as we always do and immediately I could tell the fries were old, the burger was overcooked and I asked the waitress if they had been sitting, to which she replied they were fresh and she had done the prep so she knew they were fresh and insisted they did not let them sit out, I said okay and let her know that this was the third time the fries had tasted this way (previously when we ordered this order they were delicious!) she immediately became flustered asking what else I expected her to offer me, I said I wasn’t looking for her to offer anything and that I would like them to let the kitchen know the issue - instead this waitress Mackenzie went into the kitchen and started asking everyone if the fries tasted old, handing them out to the staff and laughing loudly saying “I know I told her they were fresh”. She then returned to the table to let me know she had just done “a test” by handing them out and asking people, I let her know I heard it all and was uncomfortable and would not be returning, I then asked for a manager and told him I was extremely uncomfortable with how the waitress handled the situation and left the establishment in tears while my family paid for the bill. We will not be...
Read moreI've always loved and enjoyed Burger Barn. Sadly they have gone downhill.
1st let me say they really enjoy unplugging their phone to stop taking orders during the open hrs. Once I had to drive there and when I was line to place my order and explain how I've repeatedly called for the past 45mins. The lady in front of me told them the phone was unhooked. You could tell she was well aware. So they intentionally turn the phone off to not answer . On top of that the online ordering has never worked every time I tried to order that way
2nd. The older lady supervisor that works at Burger Barn is definitely NOT trained properly. I ordered a buffalo chicken finger meal (I was 7 mths pregnant as well) when I went to bite into the chicken finger just to bite bone. It was a chicken wing in my damn meal. I was so upset and called Burger Barn.( Thankfully they answered). The lady supervisor was beyond rude. She continued to argue with me on the phone saying I was basically lying as she personally packed my food. She Expressed that I ordered there alot N always complain. Made me feel like I was just trying to get a free meal. Such disgusting attitude towards a well paying customer So I took a pic because I had planned to go there and complain bout this supervisor. N also show how wrong she was. But I was just to tired to argue with stupid. I mean how can you talk to one of your best customers like that. I was having a huge craving for their veggies n chicken fingers but after she declared how I'm always ordering there just to complain. I stopped going there immediately. I felt completely judged and beyond uncomfortable after speaking to this older lady Clearly I didn't learn because After 6mths I tried ordering the same thing again . Guess what? It happened again. Scary part was it literally looked like a small chicken fingers. So I'm not sure if it's getting mixed in with the fingers from another order or if they are short on chicken fingers and just throw a wing in to make up for it.. either...
Read moreMy wife and I visited this restaurant this evening, and it we definitely made the correct choice. With the amount of cars in the lot, we expected to have a bit of wait to be seated. To our surprise, we were escorted to our table within a couple of minutes. Our server immediately came to us to ask if we’d like beverages. After bringing us the drinks, she asked if we were ready to order, but with this being our first ever time here, we needed a few more minutes to decide. Our server politely said ‘no problem’, and she would be back shortly. Once we decided on what to order, we placed our menus at the end of the table, showing we were ready to order. The server observed this, and was at our table promptly. My wife ordered the Meatball Sammie, and I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. We both feel that our orders were delicious, perfectly made, and a very fair and appropriate portion size. I am a little particular in how I like my hamburger meat (no pink), but I also don’t want it too dry and hard. Their kitchen staff here at Burger Barn made my burger (AND FRIES), to absolute perfection. There was no pink, but the prime rib 1/2lb patty was still juicy and easy to bite and chew. In all my years of life, I can honestly say this was the BEST burger and fries I have ever eaten! Our server, Kylee (sorry if name is wrong, the receipt was a little faded, so it was difficult to confirm the spelling). From her initial greeting, until our final goodbye, she was absolutely fabulous. Friendly, polite, knowledgeable, attentive…a server any owner would be thrilled to have on their team. This was our initial visit to Burger Barn, but it will DEFINITELY not be our last. Keep up the great work...
