We slipped down the road to visit one of our favourite views and were absolutely over the moon at the "New" Marshview Patio & Bar at Long Point Eco-Adventures. Already fans of the original, but they have pulled out all the stops with authentic decor, appointments and photos that celebrate Long Point. Long Point is a 40-km long sand spit located in Norfolk County, Ontario, on the north shore of Lake Erie, about 2.5 hours southwest of Toronto. An immense art piece that depicts the region and provides a "map" design was perfectly at home indoors in the restaurant. But the star of the show is the view of the marsh on the outdoor patio where we were perched overlooking this natural wonder. We ordered local wines and brews on tap provided with a large selection. The caesar salad was a delicious beginning, then my wife had the Creamy Bacon Linguine which she loved, and I ordered the Reuben Sandwich. It arrived with shaved Corned Beef, an in-house Sweet Potato and Fennel Sauerkraut (amazing) 1000 Island Aioli, perfectly melted Swiss Cheese on fresh sliced local Dill Pickle Bread. The flavours shone through with every bite! Our server Courtney, endulged our high maintenance needs to a tee as we started on the Patio, but moved indoors when cooler breezes arrived. She and the manager answer our curious question and enhanced our experience. Congratulations Dave and Mike! We suggest reservations so as not to be disappointed. Open 7 days a week, but check season and menu online for times and service details. LOCAL Suppliers we tasted included The Good Bread Company, Burning Kiln Winery, The Blue Elephant (Red Devil Draft) and Hometown Brew Co. Thanks CHEF!

Honestly, my wife and I were very disappointed in the food and the value for your money. I ordered the $23, 1 Fish w/Fries, an $8 side Caesar Salad and a Ginger ale. My wife ordered Grill Chicken, an $8 side Caesar Salad and a diet Pepsi. The fish was delivered over cooked, dark, and very hard batter as well it was a very small piece of fish. I told the waitress and she brought out a replacement, although not over cook, very small 4"-5" piece and was 75% batter. The second piece of fish was very mushy and pasty tasting, I could not even finish it. The Caesar Salad, although tasted very good was very small as well, not much food at all. My wife's chicken was dry and over cooked and she specifically asked it NOT be over cook it. Again, her $8 side Caesar Salad was also very small. Over all a complete waste of time. The bill was over near $75, with tax and 15% for the service, the waitress was very good but we will never go back or recommend it, , much better places to eat and for a lot less. Value for your money!!! Not here at all!!!!

The setting and view is incredible but service and food are lacking. The restaurant is modern, beautiful and clean. The service was kind but not attentive and very slow, to be fair, it was busy on a Friday night. Our reservation was for 6pm, we were seated at 6:15, our appetizer came at 6:30 but we didn't get a drink till 6:45pm and our dinner came at 7:30. The spinach dip appetizer was fantastic but the mains were a disappointment. I ordered the short ribs with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The meat portion was good but a small portion for the price. I'd be fine with this but unfortunately it was served in a bowl with the mashed potatoes as a base with so much gravy that it was more of a soup. The vegetables, mushrooms and peppers were raw and in the potato gravy soup. Roasting the veg or keeping the raw veg out of the potato gravy soup would have been appreciated. The server did not check in till we had finished our meals. I'd go back for drinks and appetizers but would not do the dinner.

Came in yesterday at 12pm. Stood at their sign as directed and waited for a whopping 48 min without a be right there-Around 30 min there were 10 more ppl behind us complaining about the wait. The 20 yr old dark brown hair brown eyed girl walked over after being approached by someone and whatever she said to me, I responded with oh, I am sorry am I at the wrong door, she then said if I had stood more to the right she would have been able to see me. Sorry, you are blamming me and dicipling me, you need to be fired princess. I stood more to the right for the 1st 30min, I moved over as others arrived. But cool your young blame your faults on others. Grow up and maybe check the door once in awhile. Why be rude when I was happy regardless of your work ethic you have a clear view of the door when you go to serve ppl by the way, I saw you pass tons. If I can see you, you can see me ;)- arrive at 11:53 and was seated by 1:07 and left by 1:50.

1st time there I stood at the door and 3 servers just starred at me while they chatted, I waited for 25 akward min that time then it got so akward and weird that no one said a word to me, I thought maybe they were not opened but then when we went to leave two guys walked in and all was good for them so I thought ok maybe they didn't care about me because of my cloths or because I am a women so likely won't tip 20 % We then came back and sat down at a table thinking that's how its done because these guys just did and they already have beer lol so we sat and sat and sat. These guys got served another beer and had their food and not one server spoke to us. I thought omg this must be a bar for adults only so we left very embarresed the 1st time. Ps adding cheese and a pickle does not mean the price should go up 9 bucks compared to the burger wthout cheese lol get...

Came here on May 9th for my boyfriend’s birthday. We just live literally 5 minutes down the road and have been here multiple times before. The food is always great, but this night in particular was very busy. I can understand being busy, but i can’t understand being busy to the point of not getting proper service. We got seated very quickly and the waitress brought over water for us quickly as well. When it came to getting drinks, that was about a 20 minute wait. Once we got our drinks we placed our food order, once the appetizers came, we were ready for our 2nd drinks, but when ordered no one came to check on us until the main food had come and we reminded them of our second drinks (in which we did not ever receive throughout the course of our meal) For the amount of tables Marshview, has they are immensely understaffed and probably shouldn’t be offering more tables if their reserved ones are taking the attention. In my opinion, they need to take tables away and have a smaller max capacity or they need to start looking to hire on some more help. The cook spent way too much time with a group of people (clearly tourists) who didn’t like their food because they don’t know how to read a menu to see what comes with their meals. I understand making things right for people, but not being able to properly read a menu and ask questions is NOT something that needs to be addressed by the head chef for an hour. (meanwhile we just wanted a drink this whole time) Just overall a piss off and super...
