My family and I had supper at Queens View on Saturday evening. We made reservations as there were 12 of us in total. We waited a total of 2 minutes to be seated. We understand that it’s a newly started restaurant and most of the wait staff are young and just starting out in this line of work. The wait staff were very polite and accommodating. The menu is in nice large print and very easy to read. We were very impressed at the vast assortment of food options on the menu. My wife got the Philly Cheesesteak and fries. She was impressed with the cheesesteak sandwich and will definitely be getting that again. We have had plenty Philly cheesesteak sandwiches in Philadelphia and yours is spot on. My daughter ordered one of the burgers and it was very big, juicy and cooked perfectly. The toppings were nice and fresh on it also. My son ordered the fish and chips, he was impressed with the portion size and the taste. The fish was cooked perfectly, not soggy and just the right amount of batter. My son in law had the spaghetti’s and meatballs with garlic bread and the portion was huge. The spaghetti was cooked was cooked perfectly, the meatballs were a very good size and actually tasted like meatballs and the garlic bread was spot on and not overcooked. The chicken wings were nice and big and were not overcooked like most places wings are. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs and let me tell you that those were some of the best ribs that I’ve had. They were fall off the bone and no knife needed at all for the ribs and I’ve had rib from different place all across North America and these ribs were right up there with the best of them. We all got French fries and the all came out nice and crispy. To top our dinner off we had the deep fried cheesecake and its mouth watering. Overall it was a very good experience and a great meal. We do also understand that it is a new restaurant, new kitchen and new staff which will be a learning curve for the employees and owners but we know that it will definitely be a great addition to Dunnville. We will definitely be back...
Read moreFirst time visit to this new restaurant. We arrived at 630pm. Let's start with the good points. Food was delicious. Large selection from steak, burgers, pasta, schnitzel, salads and slouvaki. Portion sizes are big and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere was cozy with nice booths and stained glass. Our waitress Dee was amazing! She gave great suggestions and came back often to check on us. Now for the not so great points. Although we got our appetizers within a half an hour of arriving our dinners took another hour. The restaurant was almost full when we got there. I would say 16 to 18 tables....and 2 waitresses that I could see. Not easy to get everyone's orders into the kitchen I'm sure. There was an older woman there with short hair. I'm not sure what she does there but I watched as she played on her phone most of the evening. The young hostess needs more training. She needs to learn to help by grabbing empty plates on her way back from bringing food to customers. I had to ask her to take away the empty plates. They also need to hire a real bartender. Worst gin and tonic ever, same with my husbands rye and ginger. So the next round we ordered the shot with our mix on the side....much better. Overall the food is worth the wait and the waitresses work hard and are very friendly. We will definitely be back but get rid of the chick playing on her phone. Update: We've been back many times since our initial visit and the food is still great! Pricing has stayed the same and the staff can now make a proper drink lol. I love the Chicken Souvlaki dinner here....$18.99!!! Keep meaning to try the all day breakfast...next...
Read moreCame for dinner with my sons after hearing positive things. I'm hoping tonight's experience was a one off and it gets better as they are open longer, because we were definitely not impressed. It was well before the dinner rush with only 3 or 4 other tables at the time and we sat and waited 10 minutes before a server asked if we wanted drinks....and at that point I had to request menus. My sons ordered pasta and I had the chicken souvlaki dinner. Food took quite a while, and at first only the adult spaghetti and meatballs and the souvlaki was delivered. After 10 minutes waiting I had to flag down a staff member and ask where my kids spaghetti was, and the meatballs from my other son's meal were missing. At this point our food was cold because we were waiting on my childs meal. We were told the meatballs from the spaghetti and meatballs were coming separately and so was the kids spaghetti. After finally receiving all our meals, one was missing the garlic bread and the pasta itself was overcooked and almost mushy. My children had a hard time eating it. The rice with my souvlaki meal was also incredibly overcooked and mushy and on the menu it stated the meal was with roasted potatoes, but it came out with fries. Our server kept apologizing as she could obviously see we weren't impressed. Like I said, I'm really hoping we had a bad one off experience. Not sure if I'll try again.....maybe after some time to see if they work...
