The Food Shack — Restaurant in Ontario

My family and I have eaten here twice. First time we ordered bacon cheeseburger with a side poutine, chicken fingers with fries and jalapeños poppers. The second time we ordered a chicken burger with mozzarella sticks in it with a poutine and chicken fingers with fries. Both times the food was amazing, best food in the whole area by far. The way they pack the food it shows they care ,using tinfoil and paper to prevent the hot food from melting the styrofoam container. Using paper to prevent the poutine from making the burger soggy. The building is new and fresh, equipped with picnic tables to enjoy your meal. The staff are friendly and always have a great suggestion to order next. The owner is a genuine sweetheart. These guys are crooks. The signs out front say a price, and then there’s faded marker over some of the costs modifying the prices, and then there’s a $2-4 increase on each item that isn’t captured on the sign at all that they surprise you with at the cash. Sign says $13 for the Brewster burger, $9 for the chicken fingers, and $7 for perogies, for a total of $29. Instead they charged me $36! When I questioned it cashier said the sign hasn’t been updated in a while and refused to honour the prices on the board and said the real prices were only on her till in the system. Total robbery and false information!! Highly don’t recommend! Manager wouldn’t be around for an hour and a half so I couldn’t even talk...

I was a cook here. Be careful eating here. They leave stuff in the fridge for days and days. I questioned stuff and asked and was told just cook it. It'll be fine. But the smell was bad. I even took upon myself to throw ham out cause it was bad. If I didn't it would have been cooked. I'm just saying be careful. Hotdogs sit out for 2 weeks at a time maybe longer. The place was filthy. I cleaned it. Windows were nasty. The containers were gross. The boss double charges her employees for stuff and shorts hours. If you don't kiss ass your an outcast and I got pics...
