Westview Tavern — Restaurant in Ontario

I have never been so unimpressed with a restraunt. My family and I waisted 2 and a half hours there about a week ago. It took our server, a young male that I unfortunately didn't ask his name, half an hour to bring us a menu and ask for our drinks. Although it wasn't busy, we shrugged it off. After 15 minutes of waiting for his beer, my grandfather got frustrated and went to the bar itself to get one. My brother in law waited 25 minutes for his and then complained and the guy LAUGHED and said "what beer?" He was so arrogant! We grew even more frustrated when it took him another 15 minutes to bring it and ask for our orders. As if that wasn't enough, it took another hour and 15 minutes for them to even bring our food!!!! We counted four tables that came in after us and were greeted, seated, fed, and handed the bill before our food even hit the grill. In this time, my father got up and complained to the waiter we had and he laughed AGAIN and said, "Oh yeah... They're next." We finally got our food, which wasn't that bad... But I will NEVER step foot in that establishment again. This waiters attitude was the most DISGUSTING thing any of us had encountered. I recently visited Westview Tavern and had an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a memorable evening.

We decided to try the clubhouse and the poutine, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The clubhouse was perfectly crafted with fresh ingredients, and the layers of flavor were truly delightful. The poutine was equally impressive, with crispy fries smothered in rich, savory gravy and topped with perfectly melted cheese curds—a true comfort food masterpiece.

A special mention goes to our bartender, Ashleigh. She was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our drinks were always topped up and that we had everything we needed. Her warm personality and excellent service added to our overall experience, making us feel right at home.

What a delightful find; an unpretentious, friendly and delicious eating place near the ferry terminal. After cycling around the southern part of the island on a hot day, on our first trip to Pelee, we thought we would try out the Westview Tavern to grab a quick bite before heading to the ferry. Melissa greeted us as soon as we came in with a glorious "how are you my lovelies".
