Exceptional dining experience for our 48th anniversary at Harborview Restaurant, Parrsboro. Fresh seafood, warm hospitality, and outstanding value! Nestled along the charming coastline in Parrsboro, NS, Harborview Restaurant stands as a shining example of maritime hospitality and culinary excellence. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted not only by the breathtaking views of the harbor but also by the genuine warmth of the staff, who set the tone for a truly memorable meal. The hallmark of Harborview Restaurant is undoubtedly its remarkable selection of fresh seafood. Every dish, from the succulent scallops to the pan fried haddock, bursts with the flavors of the Atlantic. The kitchen’s commitment to sourcing the freshest local ingredients is evident, and each bite transports you straight to the heart of Nova Scotia’s coastal bounty. The service at Harborview deserves special commendation. The servers are kind and attentive, always nearby to refill a glass or answer a question, yet never intrusive, never interrupting our conversations. What sets them apart is their willingness to go the extra mile, especially since I had many requests – like having my salad without dressing but with olive oil and vinegar on the side - making us feel valued and welcome. Whether you are a regular or a first-time visitor, you are treated like family. In an era where dining out often comes with a hefty price tag, Harborview Restaurant offers exceptional value for money. The prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the quality and freshness of the seafood on offer. Portions are generous, ensuring that you leave satisfied. No request is too big or too small, and each is met with a smile and unwavering professionalism. Dining at Harborview Restaurant in Parrsboro was a genuine pleasure yesterday. Whether you’re seeking a casual lunch overlooking the harbor or a celebratory dinner with loved ones, Harborview delivers an experience you’ll want to return to time and again. Special thank you to...

Some thing is not right with this place! My wife and I were seated at our table after waiting about an hour after arriving at the restaurant. we placed our order then about half hour later the waitress was finally walking towards our table with our food when she walked right passed us and placed one of the meals on another table in front of a customer where the customer is speaking inches away from the food and then it gets touched by the customer. the waitress finally realized she was at the wrong table, picks up the plate then places in front of my wife on the table. my wife and i look at each other with a puzzled look on our faces as we can not believe she took food away from one table and placed it on ours. now we are in the middle of a pandemic, seated 6 feet from other tables, waitress wearing masks and this waitress just placed this potentially contaminated where a customer was talking inched from it and handled the plate. so I tell the waitress that i could't believe she is offering this plate of food to us after it was placed on another table. she says i can get you another one. now my wife and i had only 15 left to eat as we had an appointment within half an hour. we mentioned that to the waitress that we could not wait any longer so she left the food on our table. my wife did not touch her food as she was disgusted at what just happened. shortly after i got up, paid for my order and again mentioning that the plate of food should of never been placed on our table after being taken from another. they did not seem to care. very careless place and they really need to take this pandemic seriously. i would never recommend...

We had never been there before and was looking forward to a meal and a nice glass of wine. When we arrived today around 3, we were told to sit anywhere. We chose a table in the back because of the views. Our table turned out to be dirty, but that's an easy fix. The Server was there with her back to us finishing taking an order. We were not acknowledged or greeted. There were only a couple tables occupied. We waited for some time while they talked about the customer's son sneaking off to go swimming. We waited so long another group of 3 came in and sat down. Finally she stopped talking and turned around. She went to the group who had just sat, greeted them, gave them clean placemats and menus. She glanced our way and left the room. A server must be aware of their surroundings at all times to do a good job. It was probably close to the worst service we have ever experienced! My husband and I decided to leave. I can't comment on the food as I was never even...

We stayed at the Five Island Provincial Park, and we made the trek here for breakfast during low tide - highly recommend you do the same! If you’re looking for breakfast you have to time it right as they stop breakfast at 12. Not only is this a really unique experience as you get a spectacular view of the bay, lighthouse and cliffs - but the food is top notch. I had lobster eggs Benedict and my daughter had a bacon and egg sandwich. My wife had normal eggs and sausage breakfast. The hollandaise sauce was buttery and not too lemony, the and the breakfast sandwich was perfect. After breakfast we had some home made pie and then took our dog for a walk down to the harbour around the dock - and what a great experience that was. We’ll never forget our breakfast at Harbour View during low tide!

Harbour View Restaurant is what I would call a down home country restaurant similar to what you would have found 40 years ago with a great view of the ocean. The service was okay. I ordered the fish and clams which came with fries. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted great. The clams were awesome, maybe the best I have had in a long time. Even the fries had a unique flavor that made you not want to anything to them. Unfortunately for me I was too full to finish them all. Definitely a great meal for the money and I highly recommend it if you are looking for great Nova Scotian seafood. Great job guys. Hope to see you again soon.

Local spot with wonderful friendly service. My husband had the lobster Mac & Cheese, filled with lots of large chunks of lobster meat. I had a hearty portion of chicken vegetable soup with a soft roll, one of the best soups I’ve had in a long time. Of course we had to try a piece of their coconut cream pie. It was a very busy Saturday evening dinner and first beautiful weekend of summer, glad our friends recommended this spot to us. If in the area again, we will definitely be back.
