We stopped hoping to have a light lunch. The club sandwich was ok, but the turkey sandwich was about 1/2 cup or more of mayo on homemade bread with a couple of small strips of turkey. I scraped off most of the mayo, put what Turkey we could find on one quarter. The other 3/4 of sandwich with the pile of mayo was left on the plate. The server didn’t even care to ask if...

Really hearty breakfast, home made bread, ample crunchy bacon, perfect eggs. Eat here!! The date squares are out of this world. The staff were very friendly and the clerk even gave us free postcards from the area. There is a store attached that sells home made pies, little squares and of course, home made bread. Very reasonably priced. My two eggs, toast and bacon...

We drove quite a way to reach this well reputed bakery and cafe. Like many of the businesses in Newfoundland this is more than a bakery and cafe. It is a diner and convenient store. It may also rent cabins for the night. A woman brewed us a fresh pot, which was very kind of her. We picked up a raspberry pie and More Bars. Both were tasty.

Lovely little cottages. We had two bedrooms, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and living room. Had breakfast at the cafe - nothing beats a home cooked meal - and a few drinks at the local club. Friendly people with helpful advice. True Newfoundland hospitality.

There are multiple reasons to give this place 5 on 5. Food is really good, the way it should taste, nice friendly staff, and very well priced. For less than $7 I had hearty breakfast. I hope I can be there again in future.
