Penelope's Palace — Restaurant in Pelham

I had the most delightful afternoon tea experience today and cannot recommend enough! The venue itself is charmingly quaint with a shabby chic aesthetic.

The owner went above and beyond to ensure my guests and I felt comfortable and cared for throughout our reservation. She was incredibly accommodating of my dietary restrictions, and the food exceeded all expectations—generous portions, very fresh, outstanding quality and extensive tea menu.

One of the highlights for me was the exquisite fine china teaware we were served with…so elegant and beautifully curated! We were also lucky enough to receive a private tour of the owner's collection: just imagine thousands and thousands of teapots, teacups, and dish sets! It was absolutely incredible and a clear reflection of her genuine passion for what she does.

Had a lovely time at Penelope's today as a member of a foursome who enjoy a monthly High Tea outing to catch up, chat, banter and yes...tell tales. Greeted by two smiling and cheery young ladies who led us to our table with delightful tea sets. With lovely background music, we enjoyed very plentiful tiered platters. I have to stress that the croissants, still warm, are probably what greets you in heaven as they were absolutely unbelievably perfect! A small dab of clotted cream and jam and nothing compares. The atmosphere is relaxing with no pressure to move along. Is it "boujie"? I had the pleasure of enjoying afternoon tea at Penelope’s Palace with my sisters today, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
