Robin's Donuts — Restaurant in Port Elgin

This place does have good doughnut options, especially the eclair, and cinnamon twists. BUT we have done drivethrough many times and they always mess up your coffee order (adding sugar instead of milk). And when I ordered half a dozen doughnuts I choose 3 "specialty doughnuts" which they told me costed more. And normally I'm okay with that if it says it somewhere but it said no where on the wall or in the showcase that they were specialty. And they don't even have a specific price difference for every doughnuts added.. the lady explained that she was charging me a 10pack of tidbits for the cost difference of my 3 specialty doughnuts.... how does that make sense? I feel like I just got scammed and I'm not the first person we know who has complained that depending on the staff member will change the price of your order. Five months ago we stopped here for the first time, we raved about the bagel sandwich, it was hot and delicious, also a place that offers my favourite, the morning glory muffin. The friendly service was another thing we appreciated from the women working there. Fast forward to yesterday, the bagel sandwich may have been the worst I have ever had, sloppily put together, not hardly toasted and the worst was the white pale sausage that I couldn't even eat after the first bite, it wasn't even close to being warm and the order came out wrong on both bagels, despite the fact that it wasn't busy at all, now we know why! The morning glory muffin is still great, they're definitely not made there! We will skip this place for breakfast...

We visit this Robin’s on a weekly basis during the summer as we camp nearby. This place is always hopping with customers and yet the staff, tho busy, are kind, friendly and welcoming. We often see Lovepreet and he’s super special with a huge smile everytime. He’s a star employee in my books. Also, a huge shoutout to Hailey who explained the different types of cold brews I could get. She too, was friendly, welcoming and engaging - a pure delight.
