Mugz 2.0 Coffee House — Restaurant in Port McNeill

My first trip to the north east part of the island found me passing through the quaint little town of Port McNeill. After reading a few reviews earlier in the week I recalled the statement in one of the reviews, "a great place to wait'. I didn't quite understand that until I spent an hour sitting up at the window seat, looking through sea glass at the marina, soaking up the ambiance of such a quaint little place where time seems to 'stand still' for a bit. A great place to wait? Yes. An even better place to enjoy a beverages clearly made with love. I enjoyed a brew, and an incredibly generous piece of banana bread that tasted like something my mother would make. We just came in for coffee- service was nice and fast, however the young lady at the till gave me incredible ATTITUDE just because she couldn’t understand what I was asking for. I have an accent and not understanding me was not the problem. I’ve been in customer service my whole life and I would never roll my eyes and shake my head at someone just because I didn’t understand them? Next time just politely say you don’t understand what I’m asking for (it’s not a problem!). My drink wasn’t made correctly either so I couldn’t drink it (I asked for almond and I got oat- which I’m allergic to ) and I didn’t want to ask or say anything because I didn’t want to deal with her again. A bit disappointing.

I'm giving it a 4 out of respect for the owner and older staff. The business is clean, well put-together, and their presentation, service and coffee are good. The younger staff can be less so. I generally feel less satisfied with my drinks when made by the young men working, and I don't appreciate my drink choices being mocked or comments stating I and every other chooser of said drink are "brainwashed".

I just came for the view, the service and the coffee - the attitude while I waited (that wasn't even directed at me, just for all the customers to hear) could use some checking.
